My only experience with them was the awesome cheesecake. My daughter worked for one of their affiliates and used to get a 50% discount so we had a variety every holiday (the pumpkin is amazing!). She doesn't work for that company anymore. That's probably a GOOD thing!

I'm on vacation in a week. Maybe I'll go there for lunch one day and try something healthy. Portion size won't matter - my hubby could handle anything I don't finish. :-)

I haven't been post op either but they do have a fantastic tropical type of salad not sure if its something we can have post op but I do remember it was very light with little dressing and was so yummy

Tell me more about this "Mac" and cheese!!:)

Oh it's SO good! Technically, it's cauliflower and cheese, but I make it like how I love my Mac and cheese!

1 c. Low fat sharp cheddar

1/2 c. Skim milk

1 tsp mustard powder (or mustard)

Salt and pepper

2 steamer bags of cauliflower (I'm a busy gal so I use frozen. Lol)

Cook your cauliflower then chop the heck out of it (you don't want it "mashed", still leave some small chunks). Combine first 4 ingredients in sauce pan and cook on medium, constantly sitting until cheese sauce consistency is reached. Mix cauliflower with the sauce and spread in baking pan. Top with more cheese or crushed Special K Protein Cereal and bake for 20 min at 350! :) enjoy!

I didn't know the Cheesecake Factory had anything good for you. I may have to rethink my hard and fast rule about never setting foot in the place! Lol

Terry, they have a specific portion of the Menu called SkinnyLicious. It's all lean foods and they state the calorie count under each meal.

They even have Splenda cheesecake. I about fell flat on my face with happiness.

With their huge menu there is probably several choices that could work. I haven't been post op but I used to love their steak Diane. Oh my that's some wonderful steak. I remember they had great roast chicken too- the only issue I would see is the portions are too big for us. I'd try to split something with another person.

I do miss their wonderful cheesecake.... Oh well.

Don't be sad. You can still have their cheesecake. They have a Splenda cheesecake for diabetics (quoted the waitress), etc.

Also a low carb cheesecake.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
