If One More Person!

Tells me that I didn't need the surgery!!!! I understand where they are coming from but it's getting on my nerves....do they honestly think that I would put myself through ALL of this just because?! What really grind my gears is when they don't even educate themselves on the surgery and just assume crap!

Yea my best friend of 13 years said to me " so that means I gotta start working out now so you not smaller then me!" I was appalled and pissed

Why they feel the need to be competitive and not supportive is amazing..... I stopped talking to some people in my immediate Fam over a year ago due to inappropriate comments about my weight after I gave birth and wore a size 10 and 12. The ridiculous things from my size 4 or size 5 mom that I had to check or from family that had weight issues (can we say potbelly, hbp, high chol, hypertension, anyone?) but refused to be checked and I had to cut them out....

This opportunity for us, as all other big life moments do, gives us a clearer picture of who is real in our lives and who are limited and we should therefore not expect anything better from (nor trust them with but so much). Plus many of these same people run their mouths to others in the Fam or associates and before we know it EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMA is in our business.

I agree 100000%!!! People don't realize how much of a prisoner we are in our own body's before the surgery! It's a celebration of life and the world and this experience will be better if we learn be there for one another! Love one another and support one another!

In my booklet I had to sign for this surgery said jealous will happen towards me and to see a psych I said I don't need a psych ill just cut people out my life!

Yes crazy jealousy! My sister took herself off FB. Guess the stress of me telling her before mom could blab it too her was too much :•\

It's really terrible how people get so jealous! Why can't they just be happy for us!

Remember you are doing this for you, people that get jealous are struggeling with their own inscurities and dath is their problem not yours.

I have just one friend who is not supportive, she is very overweight herself, and now she is angry at me for having gb ,but her problems are hers not mine.

Im am happier, more confident and much healthier.

Big hug!

Thanks for the support! I have a friend I was thinking of telling Saturday. We are super close, she just had a baby last week and she is from the thin blood line ;) I'm positive she will be supportive but I know she will worry!

I am ok w non-overboard worry. It shows caring:-)

Well I've told my kids, husband, two girlfriends ( which I regret because I think they'll be jealous, and my mom(she had it 20 years ago, and a close male friend. My daughter whom I'm been talking to the most since we are so close I decided to ask her if I'm talking about it with her to much says "yes I am, but what is she supposed to do?" I now think she's not interested but feels obligated because I take care of hrs since she lives in my house, is unemployed and not in college. I'm thinking wow and I just put gas in her car which I brought and I just paid her cell phone bill. Apparently I've got to get it together and stop letting all these people in my house use me. I vow as of today to just do me. I now realize I don't have any support.

The husband and the male friend just worried about if ill loose my curves and my booty! I mean really? I'm just going to keep it to myself from here on out. I'm so diappointed????

My hubby said the same as u said urs did. I told him if it happens, which I doubt, we will buy me some. Now this is about my health. No issues since especially after I was hospitalized due to health again.....

ok, so my girlfriend that wants the surgery (but her insurance doesn' have the obesity rider) says to me the other day after I said I want to wear a size 8 (but I really want to wear a size 6) "don't go losing no whole bunch of weight because I don't like it when people look sick. that's going to be to small for you." Ok, first off I didn't ask for her two cents and second she must have forgotten I'm doing this for me and no one else. I've summed it up to one word "JEALOUSY".

Thats exactly what happened today...my brother's girlfriend takes it upon herself to tell me every person she knows that has had the surgery and who got big and blah blah blah I politely told her that everyone is different and she go the hint to move along ....thanks so much!

I haven't told anyone so far for thids very reason. Thre'll all find out afterwards and only if they ask.

It is basically what everyone is stating....people are jealous...even the skinner friends of mine! People are harsh!

Not to even mention that we need these peopl for support.

how bout this one for a kicker....pre-op my bf told me he didn't want me to have the surgey....post op and a couple weeks later he says I bet ,and we literally made a bet, that he would lose more weight than me "naturally"....I looked at him with crazy eyes and thought "so now he's in competition with me...is he getting jealous of me"...like what the crap and he thinks I'm going to leave him once I get "skinny"....he's so stupid!!
