Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hi all... I'm a May bandster just checking in to see how you guys are doing!!!

TracyinKS.... you're a trip!! Best of luck on getting into the 230's... I'm knocking on that door right along with you!!

I met my fiance on myspace...romance was the LAST thing I was looking for at that time... I set up my account to locate old classmates and keep in touch with friends....well, this cute little face in an US Army uniform pops up when I first signed on..and I HAD to read his profile.. cute... without messaging him I moved onto my mail... then about 3 days later his profile came up again... so I decided to message him... we chatted everyday for 4 months before deciding to meet in Chicago (I live in Delaware, he lived in St. Louis)... we had a long distance relationship for a year before he moved out here with me...We got engaged in December and our wedding is 11/10/07!!

Good morning, all you lovely losers!! And I do mean that in a POSITIVE way! I had to step back from the computer last night during our heavy thunderstorms. I hope you all remembered to follow the rules even if I wasn't there to nag at you!!

Househuntress... I have always had big trouble with motion sickness. The tea cup ride at Disneyworld almost killed me! BUT there is this nifty little pill I take that does the trick. I was seasick on the first day of our first cruise and DH thought I'd never want to go again, but after I had the bonine pill, I was good to go and never had a problem again. So don't rule out a cruise for that reason!

Today I do my volunteer shift at the hospital and then have to get some money from the bank for the garage sale. I realized after I got everything put out and priced that I have a whole nuther closet I didn't touch. BUT I have no more space for anything else so I guess we'll be having another sale towards the end of the summer. Good thing we don't have to put the cars in the garage for awhile!

Wherever we decide to meet, I'll be bringing DH along. Not only are we joined at the hip like Tracyk and her hubby, but he's a bandster too so he's double qualified! He can be one of the goils!

I didn't get any exercise in yesterday because of the storms, though we did put up a few pieces of fencing, so I at least got moving a bit. I'll be heading to Curves this afternoon and I will be making a new flower bed with paving bricks and mulch later today. I gotta keep up with Jennifur in the exercise challenge!!!!

I better go get dressed and get started on the day's activities..

Everyone have a great Friday the 13th.. gulp.... and remember to follow those bandster rules.

Oh Friday the 13th. this is going to be a crazy night at work. LOL

Well Judy - I'm trying to keep up with you. LOL It makes a huge difference when you are home. I would love the job I interviewed for the other day, but my first thought was, am I going to have time to work out? LOL

But outside, walking and lifting job, so in the summer if I get to the gym 2 days I would be happy and winter averages 30-35hrs a week, so I will have time to go >LOL

well speaking of.... I'm off in 5mins

hi everyone,

so for las vegas...if i cant find someone..then you guys have to wrestle up a single, funny, cute guy friend ha!!! (just joking)

i had a bad night last night. i had reflux the entire night...i think my fill is too much. the thought of driving downtown again....ughhh. i forgot to eat yesterday plus it was hard to get anything down except my Protein Drink and Water. (this is after last weekend before my fill when i could've eaten a horse if it passed my way.)

so i'm deciding if i should go down and get some taken out. the devil in me is saying no so i can get down to the next size. the angel in me is telling me to go.....hmmmm Friday the 13th...i wonder who will win :heh:

hi househuntress

melissa: myspace is a good idea because i think a person's personality comes through. my nieces and nephews use that and Facebook alot.

jennifur: i would definitely say yes to working the ovens. too bad a heart monitor couldnt measure the heat and heart rate to get calorie count.

tracyK: lucky you....your own bellcap

Kat: what a nice story.....i love when true love eventually finds the way...like the movie seredipity

janiebug: i think the key to a cruise is to have your own group. then it is total fun...

terri: lets definitely get together. it's much better to be connected. it was too easy for me to "slip away" when i was "anonymous" on this site.

a few days ago you mentioned a monday meeting...what meeting is it?

also right near your work is the best pizza place...BROTHERS. those guys are originally from brooklyn and their pizza is exactly like pizza in brooklyn. unfortunately i cant have it right down because pizza isnt a food i can digest. have you been there?

off to kickbox. i told my niece i would take her. i feel like doodie right now but i'm going to force myself to go..

have a fabulous friday!!!

TracyKS...awesome awesome awesome... cute picture!

Yes, I do live right outside of Houston, in Tomball. It's just a few minutes away... Let me know if ya'll are meeting somewhere, would love to join ya'll.

This past week I haven't started getting hungry until about noon. I completely forget to eat because my tummy isn't rumbling and I just get caught up with work. Do you think I should make myself eat something in the morning? I think I heard somewhere that if you eat Breakfast your metabolism speeds up? I don't. I do find that I'm cutting about 200 calories by not eating breakfast. But I know that it's a bad thing because I don't want to tell my mom that I'm not eating breakfast. That's my rule about things. If I can't tell my mom about it then it must be bad!!! he he he

Judy, you inspired me to haul out all my stuff last night and to get a garage sale going Saturday morning. Last night I stayed up late making signs and pricing all my stuff. I hope I make enough in order to get one or two new outfits for my upcoming vacation.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
