Well I have a horrible sinus infection and strep throat UGH! So my surgery for Monday was canceled.

Now I have to wait to get it rescheduled again and because of work it won't e until layer on in March now.

I'm getting laid off in 2 weeks so I have to wait until after that to do my surgery. I had already done 1 week of a 2 week liquid diet so in a couple weeks I will have to start all over again.

I almost thought this was a sign and I told the dr that I no longer wanted the surgery. Then I realized how badly I wanted my life back so I decided I have it again. I think I was just an emotional wreck from not eating, getting sick and nervous about the surgery.

Stay strong everyone and pod luck to you all. I'm glad to see the post ops are doing well and I will update you guys on my new surgery date when I get.

Port site pain is a BEAR!!!!! Bothered me for over a month. My doc says he literally had to scrape y port off my abdominal wall....OUCH. Even with my band already gone and healed my revision was 3 hours....RNY is not an easy surgery' date=' add in that we're revisions and it really can be a mess! Oh how I love life without my band though'!!!!!!

I learned today that put in a deep stitch in the abdominal muscle and my excruciating pain sitting, walking and standing is from that!

So in effort to make it more bearable I received three injections into the nerve bundle in my abdomen muscle OUCH OUCH OUCH but worth it as it made a little more tolerable. Pain didn't disappear but much more manageable. Surgeon told me this pain not uncommon with RNY revision.

Update: my surgery was yesterday. Everything went great. I lost a little blood but not enough for a transfusion. It was a bit painful to get up for my first walk. So far no nausea. The pain is tolerable and now starting to get some gas pains. Had an upper gi test and it came back good. The catheter' date=' hp drain and Iv is all out now. The taking out of the drain was such a weird feeling. All in all I am so happy that I had the surgery and that so far I am doing great.[/quote']

Glad u are out and ok!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
