Sounds like they may be threatened by your successes. Keep on truckin' on your healthy path. They'll eventually see that you are making choices that are impacting them in a different but much better and healthier way. Good luck on your journey. You are doing great!

Thanks. This forum is my lifeline

Next to prayer.

I think my whole family done gone. Crazy. My son is mad cause I wouldn't let him "hang out " at the bowling alley when we has two 'D's on his report card. My hubby says I've changed and he is no longer happy in this relationship. I wanted to say' date=' "wow " I haven't been happy in this relationship in years. You just catching up. Lol. I have changed. I quit drinking and smoking. I've been going to church and taking my son with me. Tell me how that's a bad thing.[/quote']

All positive changes for you! And change (even though it is good) is hard. Keep your chin up and know you are doing a great thing.

Wah I feel like I'm dying. I never had a period before surgery. This is now my second one. I feel bad for all the ladies that always had them. This is pure hell. Worse then the surgery itself. Not kidding.

I have some good news. I am 30 lbs from my goal. Unless I change my goal to 130. The upping the Protein really does help. I get between 80-100 a day. Lost 3 pounds in 2 days. But then I'll lose a pound every other day. But so far the increase has warded off stalls. Huge accomplishment there.

Thank everyone for being here for me thru the surgeries and ongoing complications. Also thank you for being there to help me thru this mess w my ex. I like Shaunda, am so thankful for all who listens and helps with your caring words.

I have a something I want to try when I reach my goal. It is something I'm very scared about doing, but then the thought of it is kind of exciting to me, skydive. I feel it's crazy, but it's on the bucket list. I am now living my life. Have found such an inner confidence in myself that I haven't had my entire 22 yrs of marriage. I feel beautiful. Am told I'm beautiful. My ex is a dumb shit, but I believe he did me the biggest favor of my life. I married out of HS and was never able to find the real me. Guess what, I think she has been found ;-)

Good for you. Your beautiful and even though you may not be looking ; Mr Right is gonna find you. I think my hubby is just insecure because I'm finally focusing on me. He's not used to that.

I believe that as well. Plus, you will catch others eyes too. That can't be easy. They tell us all about the emotional side of it, but my question is were the spouses told of the emotions they will go thru as they see the physical as well as the emotional (such as increase of self confidence) changes??? I was going thru a divorce, so a spouse wasn't in my picture. It is interesting to know if indeed they were. Just try to keep him communicating w you. Communication is key because you should be able to have your happiness too.

Wag woah is me day! Sad and depressed. Not really with the surgery but with life. I figured after losing some weight I'd be more attractable to the opposite sex. Lol. I know it's a selfish reason but my life goal is to get married and have kids! I'm 22 with a BA degree working full time in my career. I have everything else going for me in life. So pre surgery I thought it was bc I was too fat. Now I see a lot of people in here married, happy or not, lol and realized it wasn't bc I was fat it is because I must just suck in general. There has to be someone out there somewhere right? I know I'm young I have all the time in the world. I hear that every day from friends but I'm just bummed out :(. Love all my December buddies sorry for complaining! :)

My Dear. You must be confident with yourself and the person you are. Don't rush things cause you don't want anything

Keep your head up girl! Some of the best times in my life happened when i was single! And as RuPaul would say......you have to love yourself before you can love someone else!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
