Omg It Just Became Real! This Is Happening.

Gastric Bypass - Scheduled for November 26.

I have been preparing for this since August. Everything has been happening so fast for me. I've been calm through out the entire process.

I've done my research, read and asked a million questions. I'm both physically and mentally prepared. I had an appointment on Oct 24 that's when I was given my surgery date. I was excited but ok.

Buuuuut today... oh today! Today s***t got REAL! LoL

I had my last appointment wiflth my surgeon... I was ok.. we talked about everything. He looked thrum my Vitamins and all was good.

Then he said: Ok we are all set. Next time I see you it'll be right before surgery.

The moment I was in my car I couldn't stop crying. What is happening to me?

All of a sudden I am nervous, scared and having second thoughts. Am I ready for this? Am I capable of doing this? Can I do this? Am I making the right choice!

I'm so emotional. Can't stop crying.

My Psychologist said something to me that has gotten me through a few rough times. He said, "when times are tough and you don't know why you would put yourself through this emotional and physical roller coaster, remember ALL the reasons you did this surgery in the first place."

This is very true. There will be days you want your life back but you then realize you don't want THAT life. You want the new one and you have to remind yourself of why you are making these changes.

Jessi. I agree. Mines tomorrow and so afraid of failing. I'm scared but this board has helped me sooo much. I know what can happen and so much info the dr don't tell you. Thanks all!!

Hey worm ! How ya doing?

Mine is tomorrow too' date=' I feel exactly the same as you, I sometimes feel destined to be obese and wonder if This won't work either.. I hope how soon I feel more optimistic. I have been preparing for this since January[/quote']

How are you doing?

I am on Tuesday 27th. I am so hungry. My head hurts! I am focusing on that instead freaking. I know this is the right decision. My husband is sitting beside me eating Oreo ice cream and apple pie. I don't want it at all. I just feel empty.

When did u get surgery bc u shouldn't be hungry nor allow urself to get hungry. Basically u should sip so often u are always fulfilled not stuffed.
