My biggest issue is pain in the left side under ribcage and depressed over lack of food. Im trying to break out of depression by cleaning house up today and do some homework but it's difficult.

That pain is a monster to deal with. Surgery was 12/13

I can consume the 60 oz of liquids. I have no appetite so I am struggling with 8 oz of Protein Drink.

Also don't need the CPAP machine to sleep

How are you doing? Haven't seen you on here in quite awhile

I had my gastric bypass on 11-29-12. I have so many questions about what others who had surgery are doing now. I'm having a hard time keeping liquids down at times. Some full liquids don't agree with me and Protein is a constant problem for me. Just need ideas from others thanks.

Doing pretty good going back to work has kept me busy and tired by the end of the day. Feeling like I am not losing quick enough but I guess that is normal. Thanks for asking. How have you been ?

I'm doing ok...much like you I wish the weight was coming off a little quicker..i try not to compare my loss to others...maybe slow is a good thing...few changes I need to make that would help and that being exercise..its been too cold (-17° this morning) to get out and walk! I don't work so I'm struggling a little ever day with boredom hunger! Hopefully I can get past this!

Finally broke down to go buy new clothes yesterday. Old clothes hanging pretty bad. I was absolutely stunned to get into size 36 jeans and size large shirts! I never thought Id see these sizes again! Even belts are on the very first hole so had to get a new one as well. It just seems so surreal to see this happen; like Im in a dream!

I am just curious what the normal weight loss will be? Nobody really can give me a hard answer about it.

The way my surgeon described it to me is that you should expect to lose 60% of what you are overweight in your first year following surgery.

I found a chart I am going to try to post when I get home but month 1 was 20% of what pounds you are to lose to be at your goal.. 35% at the end month 3.. It continues on.. I will post when I find plus I know my wording is off.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
