Oh I can't do unflavored Protein either!! Ugh the smell. Most canned shakes make me wanna barf only can do pure protein. I get so sick. So far ok on matrix and nectar. I've got the opposite issue Constipation. It's so weird how we all react. I need more liquids.< /p>

Hi guys!! How's everyone doing? I'm ok but getting nauseated all the time now. Need to up my Water intake. Averaging about 60 grams of Protein do that's not too bad.

I get better and better each day. I do have insomnia. I am irritable with friends and family and do not know why. I am working on my irritability. I am able to eat chicken and salmon if I chew it up very well. I tire easily. Otherwise I feel great. I love having the restriction. My body feels so much better eating small amounts of food. I still have a drain and it continues to drain a lot - it gets removed supposedly next week - two weeks with a drain (excessive bleeding was one of my complications causing me to have to stay 5 nights in the hospital(. I called the hospital management to express my thanks for the wonderful and dedicated care I received from the nurses. I will never forget how helpful the nurses were.

Wishing

BOOST is the only canned one i can do but makes my mouth super dry. i have tried the nectar and i hate the smell of that too! i did like the Isopure in the glass bottles but that make my mouth dry. but i think that is going to be my only option!

Surgery 11/26 and I am down 19 lbs! I can eat all 60g of my protien, it is just a lot of food journalling and meal planning. I am at about 40 or more oz of Fluid a day but I am working on it and doing a little better everyday. Vitamins and pills suck. I hate chewing them, don't know why. I just do. I do some walking everyday.

I've tried sugar free pudding twice now...and both times it made me nauseous! I had my post-op class on Friday and brought this up. They said even though it says sugar free....look at the sugar alcohol content. I never even heard to look for this. The pudding is 16% sugar alcohol....guess that's too high for my little pouch. :( I love pudding...bummed.

I put a little sugar free cheesecake pudding powder in my Protein Shakes, makes them yummy.

I have never vomited post op and I think it is because I kept taking anti nausea medication preventively as well as being very careful not to overfill the pouch.

Bananas might work puréed in the blender. Or add soy milk to make a smoothie with Protein (or skim milk)

I know what you mean about the vitamins & pills sucking. They taste horrible. In have the bariactric advantage Calcium pills & they're disgusting. Tastes like I'm chewing chalk. Gonna try the viactive chews ASAP. Great job with the protein! I have to have 90 grams each day... I've only been able to get to 70 grams. I'm only 1 week post op, so I'm not too concerned at this point. I try a little more each day.

I have been using the chewable optisource vitamins - cherry-flavored and not bad. I have to chew two in the morning and two in the evening. Now they are not delicious, but they don't make me gag. Walgreens sells them and you can buy them online. They are designed specifically for RNY folks

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
