Thats a good idea Gaffer.

It helps to be a compulsive liar. I have no problem lying to people, although I dont make a habit if it, and I am not able to lie to those I love.

There is this girl at work who is so nosy, and the biggest gossip in the office.

I finally had to tell her that I had a wager with my wife that I could not eat out for a year, and that was the reason why I could not go out for lunch after the 10th time she asked. When she asked what the prize was I told her it was a 50" plasma. She never asked me again.

Hey I know what you mean Andrew. The only people that I know I am doing this are my mom and dad and they are not allowed to tell anyone.

I have been lying to everyone left right and centre. Never thought I had it in me but hey sometimes you just have to protect your right to privacy. :)

Hey, me too. Only a very few people know I had the band. I overheard someone talking about another lady who had it done as though her weight loss wasn't real and she had "cheated". I commented that it is still hard work no matter what tool you have to assist you. I was so happy that I hadn't told anyone I had the band. Maybe when I'm more confident but right now the way gossip in the office goes - NO WAY. So I understand how you have to tell "little while lies" to survive.

Hope everyone is having a great week. One day at a time....

At what point is it ok to take this tape off the scars? They said it would just fall off, well it's been 9 days and it looks like it was just put on despite all the showers. Not that I want to show off this lovely tummy to anyone but it really is ugly so can I just go ahead and pull them off???:)

As long as you can see that the incision is closed and nothing is open anywhere, you should be able to take the tape off. That's what they told me when I had my gallbadder out.. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
