I guess I'm a little nervous. I went into this headstrong without a care in the world. After several times being asked by the surgeon, nurse practitioners and other assorted persons if I had any questions or concerns, I pick the day before surgery to flip out. I guess my main question is, should I or shouldn't I? I know I have to lose weight but at what cost. Looking at the way I'm going to have to live, I feel as if I'm just trading one set of pills and headaches for another. Multi vitamin, b12, calcium citrate, iron and possibly potassium, every day for the rest of my life. Then I was reading and found out that long term use of certain supplements can cause cancer among many other medical conditions. Not including the stories I've heard about dumping syndrome . Anyone with experience out there? Am I over thinking? I heard Medicare just approved the sleeve, should I consider that?
Don't get this post wrong, I'm not in the fetal position crying or anything (not that there's anything wrong with that). Just a lot of info running through my head. Would be great if I could find someone to say, "You're right, don't do it" or "calm down you're overreacting, it's a lot less complicated then that". Any takers?
