Wow what a dick. That made me so so so mad. No one can tell you you're eating the wrong thing except your surgeon' date=' nut and yourself. Stuff him, the unsupportive git needs a good slapping. Angry on your behalf mommy[/quote']

Thank you!!!

People are so ignorant to just what this surgery entails...people think we are weak and taking the easy way out....but they are wrong all the years dealing with being over weight..takes a certain strength in itself. And this surgery is the hard road..we will have great results..but they will be earned not handed to us...Be proud and we are doing this for us..

Sooo true and well said! I'm tired of people in my family labeling me as lash!

Sad to say some family are worse than enemies..I didn't tell any of my family not even my two sons that don't live home..although I know they would support me I'm afraid it might slip out..so I only told my best friend and my daughter that lives home..I'm so scared cause I feel so alone..I don't really have anyone..

Thank you so much and rbay..i was suppose to have surgery today but I have a bad cough and chest congestion so they postponed it until December 5th...if your husbands want you to stay overweight..that just shows his insecurities..it makes me laugh (not) when I hear that people have lost friends or even mates that always said "I love you the way you are"..now cause losing weight your they feel your out shining them or ..all of a sudden that"love"has turned conditional ..like as long as your less than me I will love you..some people just don't know the true meaning of love

4 days post op!

I'm home now. Feel so good! I'm literally stuffed from 1oz liquids at a time! LoL it's amazing. Still have soreness and some gas pain but tolerable. Dr sent me home with some liquid Tylenol with Codine... just took my dose and ready for bed.

Im reading these posts about the lack of support and it makes me sad/angry to hear this. Didn't there mamas teach them... if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all.

I made my decision alone. My hubby knew all along I was considering it and was supportive, when I told him I was going thru with it. He said that he was behind me 100% cause it didn't matter what I looked liked but that I was healthy. He has been to support groups with me, he did his own research on the process and even knows what I can and cant eat. He is truly amazing. Some family members though... hmmm I had to tell a few to keep there negative comments to themselves.

Just keep true to yourself and keep the positive support close and you'll be okay!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
