December Bandsters in February!

Recommended Posts

Hi all -

Advil - my dr said it can lay in the stomach and cause erosion.

Breakfast - my fav is shredded wheat - theres a new cinnamon flavor I love or else I have an 1egg & 1 egg white with wheat toast. shakes are not going to stay in the banded pouch so I stay clear of them - in fact I try to stay clear of all liquids as much as possible except when I'm getting my Water in. Which I do about an hour before I eat. I drink 3 glasses in the morning before Breakfast and then the rest before meals. If I drink sooner I'm hungry sooner.

Talk to you all soon!

Just checking in...I weighed in today for my weekly weigh in and I was up 0.8lbs (not reflected in my ticker because I am in denial!). I really think I am just hanging onto some extra Water. I looked over my eating and I burned thousands more calories than I ate. I also upped the weights that I am doing so I think that could lead to something as well. I am irritated but I am trying to look at this rationally.

At any rate, I hauled my butt to the gym and had a 45 min elliptical wokrout and 100 crunches. My abs are sore but it feels good.

Thanks for all the breakfast ideas by the way.

How is everyone doing today?

Kay....You know that muscle weighs more than fat right!??? Girl....You're getting PUMPED up!!!:boxing::) With all that exercise...I'm SURE Its the muscles!! Don't worry about it too much....you should actually probably UP your caloric intake and I bet then you'll see some poundage drop!! Try it for a few days then go back down.....it'll mess w/your body and (hopefully) the scale!!!

Kay, I agree with Kirsten - VERY likely you're building muscle. Take your measurements - I bet you're losing inches!

Thanks--I needed that.

I hope you are right. I have eaten well today and not picked at any of the Snacks I have been picking at a little lately.

I have to say thought, I am hungry more often than I was in the past. I am definitely doing this through sheer willpower and I Need a fill soon. Feb 15th cannot come soon enough!

Thanks again girls.

I got fill #2 today, and it still didn't hurt at all (and I am the ultimate needle-weenie!)

Since I'm an hour or so from the doc's office, I only got 0.5cc's bringing my total to 2cc in a 4cc band. I had a touch of restriction before, so I didn't want too much.

All I had was some strained chicken noodle Soup broth and a SF Jello pudding for dinner, and I'm actually feeling it a touch - which is odd because normally the Soup would go right through. Hopefully this one will do the trick! :)

kay, if it's any consolation, I was doing the same and feeling the same just before my fill last week. I wondered how long my will power would hang in there if I hadn't gotten a fill. I guess this is one time when you gladly want to wish some days away. Just over a week to go kay hang in there :)

Sounds like a good fill chubbygirl :) I was actually quite sore with no appetite for nearly 2 days after my fill last week. Watch the weight drop off now :D

It's odd with this second fill. Before, I could really still gulp Water, and would always drink a glass before bed. I decided last night I would drink a 16.9 oz bottle before bed. I couldn't chug it! I could feel it pooling up so I'd stop after a couple small gulps. What an odd feeling!!!

Kirsten - thinking good wishes while you wait for your second... :):)

Wow Annie..thanks for sharing that feeling of the Water pooling up. I was curious about that. I have no fill yet and I too can gulp water(I usually sip it, but I can gulp it too). I was wondering if it would feel different with a fill or if it would go right through since it is Water. Interesting. I will have to wait and see for myself but it does lead me to thinking and yearning for a little restriction. My willpower is fading..hehe.

Little one is home sick today so no gym for me. I did the biggest loser workout, the Boot Camp section (kills me!) and I feel good. Glad I got it accomplished despite the wrench being thrown into my routine.

Have a good day all and I hope you meet your challenges!

BUMP--

This was getting too far down I couldnt find it!

I got my second fill today and I am still unsure as i am not eating enough to know if I have restriction. There is a support group meeting tonight at my surgeons office. I am going to go I think . I have never been but I will try it and see if I like it or not. Well I better get ready to go see ya all later!

Maurdan, how was your first fill???

I am going to make sure I get that Water pooling sensation when I go for my 2nd fill!! Then I'll have him take just a teeny bit out so hopefully I'll have good restriction!! 10 more days!!! I can't WAIT for my next fill....it is only by sheer willpower at this point that I am maintaining my loss.

Does anyone else still have any pain on one side of their port area?? I still feel this weird muscle pull/cramp like feeling on the left side of where my port is every time I bend over! I wonder if this is normal?? Anyone else have anything like this??

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
