Things Im Looking Forward To:

Recommended Posts

Am I crazy for saying this? Maybe, but I'm SO looking forward to working out and walking and going for jogs etc. I loved gym class as a kid and love going on walks. It's calming for me, just wish I could do it now without running out of breath and such

My surgery was 5/4/10. I looked forward to ding physical activities and being able to find clothes at normal stores. It was also nice too not worry about whether or not I would fit in a carnival ride

I haven't had my surgery yet, I'm waiting for insurance to approve it now! And then I might be switching doctors because I just moved across the state line into Wisconsin. It won't be for a few months but I'm lookin forward to big changes! Also theme park rides and not having to check or be nervous for whether or not I will be able to fit. It is very reassuring that I know the weight will come off and with following doctors orders it would stay off. I can't imagine myself thinner, so it's still processing mentally but it feels so great to finally begin my life as it should have been years ago!

I look forward to not being the fat friend and I'm looking forward to life and all that it holds for me since I've been avoiding life. Clothes is a big plus as well as working out and not being worried someone is laughing at me . People can and will be mean no matter what size but still it's how I feel .

Wow, girl, you took the words right out of my mouth! I hate being "the fat girl" with all my skinny gf's. I avoid many social situations, so that I don't feel people are laughing at me.

Did you all see the news anchor who told off that jerk about his nasty "fat hate" email? Now that made me cry! She rocked her response!

I get major anxiety at work when I do intakes with strangers going to malls movies dinner anything I am always thinking someone is laughing at me or watching me giggle by. It's hard I hope this ends . So this surgery is going to be my tool and ill be damned if I fail . I have hope and faith on my side to help.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
