I know exactly how you feel! When you do start shopping, you'll probably want to be very conservative with how much you buy. The weight drops like a rock and what fits today may fall off two weeks later!

But I keep looking @ VS Pink stuff and Ive never been able to wear it, not even their XL :( Silly goal I know but I so badly want some cute sweat pants hahahah!

I'm 3days out now. But before the surgery, I bought a few pieces that looked great and I had to have. Lol. Since I work at a clothing store part time, I won't be spending a lot.

Hey baby girl,

You work at a clothing store and do not spendwho whole check on clothes? Ohhh I'm such a junkie! I love a few designer pieces mixed in my wardrobe (from my corporate days). Is it a store where a friend discount would be awesome? (wink wink).

I just bought stuff on sale all different sizes. It's also nice to borrow clothes from friends and sisters. I was lucky my sister gave me a ton of clothes that she didn't fit in anymore and they got me through for a few months. Also belts are my best friend! I love shopping now I have to keep myself out of the mall lol. I spend to much time getting ready in the am now lol. I think I'm most excited about wearing dresses:-).

guys have thoughts about this stuff too. To be honest, i want to be able to wear UA gear. underarmor.

I have thought about buying a few pieces of cloths but, since i live at work it will be an interesting battle with the boss to get new shirts as my weight drops LOL.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
