Introducing New Foods To The Pouch.

When you guys are eating something, how long does it take for you to get sick if it does not agree with you? I am starting to try new things and I am afraid if the first time I find something that my pouch objects to.

The best advice I can give is to introduce new foods at home first.

It doesn't take long. The first time I tried steak it came up within 10 mins but I felt something wasn't right immediately. Anything my body is gonna reject I've felt awful almost immediately.

It happens right away. I introduce chicken & not even 5 mins out it came. Meatloaf stood & chicken came out.

For me I know right away as soon as I swallow. I was not chewing my food enough and I would know immediately that I did not chew enough as soon as I swallowed. It just does not sit right in your stomach and you just feel sick. As someone stated earlier... try new things at home, a little bit at a time. My doctor suggests trying new things 1 at a time/day and chew-chew-chew-chew !!!

Thank you all! I have been taking a bite, making sure to chew the heck out of it and then waiting about five min to have any more just in case. So far so good. I have about 4 more weeks before I go back to work and I am hoping to have a good sense of what won't make me sick before then.
