Cold & Hot & Low Blood Pressure

Recommended Posts

It's almost 70 degrees all the sudden I felt so cold like if it was 40 degree. I started cooking. Everything warmed up. I felt so hot. After dinner was over I was still warm. I went to check my blood pressure it said 108 over 84.

Have anyone experience this? I felt like manaupause. I was shaking that's how cold I was.

I seem to be really intolerant to cold lately. Most nights I have to put on socks and sleep with two blankets on. It's gets pretty chilly here at night, like 55 or 60 but it feels absolutely freezing to me!

I think your blood pressure is probably ok.

I went to the dr today and mine was 106/61 I asked if that's low and was told it was good. I was surprised by that.

I wish I would have asked about being cold all the time but I forgot.

When is your next postop appointment? My advice would be write down everything that you have a question about. I should have done that.

Good idea. I will write it down. My post up appointment is next week.

Welcome to the cold, it's a long term side affect of the surgery. For me peronally anything under 75 is freezing and PA always seems to be under 75. When you get the shakes get hubby to crawl under te balnket with you, you'll warm up fast :) Carry sweaters and jackets everywhere, you'll need them. I'm four years out, the cold feeling never goes away or improves.

But you'll be buying fashionable sweaters from the sales rack of the skinny department. :-)

For me it's warm shoes and something on my neck (scarf or sweater) and I'm ok even at the office. Gloves in the winter are a must.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
