When did people start noticing your weight loss?

I have lost about 10% of my body weight, and about 20% of my excess weight (least by my calculations) but no one has noticed or said ANYthing about it. My clothes are all a bit looser and the people that know about the surgery (my family) say my face is definitely smaller. I don't really see it. It's not that I WANT people to talk about my weight but people saying something is the best way for me to gauge if I visibly look different. I think my body image is a bit askew lol. Anyway, how much before you guys started getting comments???

they notice ... 3 days after surgery .. my friend said wow you face is not round anymore lol .. my eyes get bigger now people notice more .. and day by day you see a diffrence people sometimes keep comments to there selfs they dont want to offend you because probably think that you will gain the weight back .. but .. good luck in your journey and I am sure you can tell.. as long as your happy you dont need other people comments  there nice but not nessasary we know :) :clap2:

I guess people started to notice, (at least say something about it) at about 30 pounds. But the more I lose, the more comments I get. Give it time, our bodies are all different.

It was about 40 before most people noticed for me, I still could wear the same clothes, because before the stretchy fabric was so tight, then when it became baggy, thats when someone said something.

My DH noticed at about fifteen. But he sees me everyday.

I was at about a 50 pound loss before people noticed. People who were close to me like my huband and mom noticed right away. But others took a while. Now some people actually pass me up and dont recognize me untill I say hello. You will get to that point and you will love it. Good luck to you it looks like your doing great!

I would say 50 lbs.. That's when people started to notice some weight loss. Shirley....

Just recently. A few along the way, but the last week and a half wow. I'm really getting the compliments. I think its because I've worn clothes that fit the last week. I was wearing my old clothes or baggier clothes. This week more fitted. It's starting to feel real good!

Yep!! It's around that 50Lb. thing, that they notice.

Shirley...

It was about 65 pounds then they noticed it annoyed me to its like what are you all blind I don't know its all in perception I guess but not a word until then no one.

Every one began to ask me Are you loseing weight?????

No!!!!, you don't think so do ya??? Yeagh!, maybe. It kinda looks that way to me.

75Lbs lighter. Wow what did you do!!!!!!! can I do it to?

people with this weight loss thing blow me away they really do.

They want to no how.

They are pissed at me, and no longer talk to me, cause they are still heavy.

Of course some people are delighted.

I saw my surgeon yesterday, and they are asking me to possibley become a spokes person for them, and the Lap Band, at there meetings I guess.

They have been kicking this around, and this is the first i hear of it. I'm sure they will kick it around untill more weight comes off. Shirley..:decision:

Barbara is so right about the clothes. I lost 35 lbs and not much was said about it until I bought some new, more flattering clothes. For me, the bigger the shirt, the more I thought it "covered" me. Now I am finding that clothes that are a bit more form fitting really show off my weight loss. Now, I'm not saying I wear tight clothes, I just tossed out the big, oversized shirts and sweaters I was wearing!!

My family didn't notice anything at Thanksgiving where I had lost close to 30 lbs but at Christmas when it was 35, they couldn't believe how different I looked, weirk huh!

Probably between 50 and 65 lbs. I really don't remember. It was pretty much the same time as my clothes started changing drastically, since for the first 40+ lbs I was wearing the same clothing, just a lot less snug than it used to be.

Don't equate ppl staying quiet to your loss not being noticeable. I've lost something like 130 lbs now, and few people have said anything. Or I'll get, "You look different, you have a glow, did you go tanning?" There are lots of reasons for people to stay quiet, and few for them to speak up.

I've lost 146Lbs. as of yesterday, and I feel great. The cloths do make a difference. Form fitting is the best I think. "I believe in the theory, that if you 've got it,thean flaunt it." I see nothing wrong with that, after all the human body is a wonderful thing to look at. Were all different, but yet were the same.

Lately I have come across some strange people that's all. At the christmas party it was Hy shirley, you lost so much weight, but see ya,

have a Merry Christmas., and they are still sitting at the table. So the hint was for me to keep walking. I did. Just a example of many different attitudes that I have come across. I've been told they are jealous of you, they are afraid

that you will actually look better then them, These are people that I worked with for years, and thought I new.. Shirley..
