Hello I had my surgery on March 26 so far I lost 23 lbs but I have not lost anything since week 3. I am eating stage 3 diet and filling up fast eating mostly Protein and staying hydrated but getting discouraged at not losing more.

Are you walking?

Yes I have been walking and I am always on the go 3 kids. I could do more high impact cardio but I hope to start next week.

Maybe it's just taking some time for your body to catch up with your loss. I think you'll do o.k.. you may be losing inches. I'm still on the pre-op Liquid Protein which sucks by the way, but I have discovered that the scale is not my friend! Stay off the scale for a day or two and check your measurements. Hope that helps.

Are you eating at regular intervals? I was told today that it's really important to spread it out and get in all the Protein and 64 oz of Fluid each day. Are you meeting the eating requirements provided by your nutritionist?

Sometimes are bodies rebel for a while but, stick with the plan and the scale will start moving again.

I feel ya. I am 3 weeks post and have only lost 1 pound this week. I knew the weightloss would slow down down, but geez! I get my Protein in and my Water and I walk 1 to 1 1/2 miles 5 days a week. It's frustrating, but I am still working at it. :-)

I'm going through the same thing...and I exercise and follow all of the guide lines. I'm praying the weight loss picks up a gain soon. I did lose 3 lbs this week after 2 weeks of nothing. I am 5 weeks out. It is sooooo very important to me that I not fail at this. Everyone keeps saying hang in there so that's what I'm doing. I have zumba on Xbox connect so I'll start that more frequently this week. It seems to be more intense than the walking. I'm at about 2 1/2 miles...at a nice brisk pace. Stationary bike when its too cold or rainy outside plus resistance training with these thera-bands. "Lord bless all of us on plateaus and slow weight loss with patience and perseverance! Amen!"

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
