Feeling Of Food Sitting In Throat?

Hey guys, I'm 10 weeks post op and things are going great! Although sometimes I get the feeling I have food sitting in my throat after I've had a couple of bites. It doesn't hurt or make me feel ill it's just uncomfortable.. I've only experienced it a few times (not every time I eat) I spoke to my surgeon and he said its nothing to worry about unless it happens every time I eat. I was just wondering if any one else has experienced this too? It's not happened for about 2 weeks now, so I'm hoping it's not gonna happen again :-)

Yeah I get the feeling of it after just a sip of anything or one bite food no matter how good I chew. Geez 2 endoscopes. That's great!

I had the endoscopy this morning and they said I had some stricture. They said scar tissue had formed around the opening of my pouch restricting my food intake but allowing fluids to pass through. They said the opening was really small. I have to have the procedure done again next week but honestly this is the most comfortable I've felt since before surgery. I even at 3 bites of mashed potatoes without feeling sick or like something was caught in my throat

That's awesome. I hope they will be able to do that for me!

Mine isn't to bad anymore I'm thinking. Mine might have been the swelling but don't wanna ginx myself

I'm not sure what mine was as it only happened a few times, and hasn't happened for ages now. I hope everyone else's problem is sorted soon xx

Stay positive. I'm not saying its a cure all. Its been less than 24 hours but I just feel a lot better than I have in a long time

Its been less than 24 but I honestly do feel a lot better

That's awesome....gives me hope. I've got to call the dr Monday to inform them the mess didn't work so they can schedule an endoscopy.

I am. I ate some mashed potatoes and gravy last night and it stayed down and I'm going to try some oatmeal this morning. I haven't thrown up once since having the procedure on Friday
