I'm 4 and a half months out. I think mine was down to needing some time to heal.mi hope everyone recovers soon,x
  3. I used a large v shaped pillow when I had my surgery 3 n half months ago :-)
  4. I had in total about 4 weeks of work, ul need it. I work with children n I didn't do any lifting etc till at least 6 weeks when I saw my surgeon n got all clear to do so.. And we waited about 1 week or so for sex, but like the other lady said he did all the work too :-) lol x good luck x

  7. WHat exercise is everyone doing to help with their weight loss after gastric bypass surgery?
  8. It's a silicone ring they put at the opening of your stomach to stop ur stomach stretching back at a later date, i paid more money to have it fitted x

  12. When I bad my surgery the gave me a credit card size card to go in my purse. It's states iv had a bypass and that I have the FOBI ring fitted. It also has the name and number of my surgeon.x
  13. When I decided I wanted a bypass I went to see my gp who referred me to see the bariactric surgeon, I had my appointment with him, he asked me a few questions, (I was in his room about 10mins if that) I had blood test and swabs before I left. I emailed him that night to say I wanted to go ahead with procedure and he emailed me back with possible dates. So from when I saw my gp to the actual date I had the surgery (26th jan 2012) it was less than 2 months. I had no diet to follow before hand to lose weight the only thing I had was a 2 week liver reduction diet right before my surgery :-) xx
  14. I'm 10 weeks post op n have lost just over 3 stone.
  15. I work with young children and I took just over 3 weeks off work, and when I went back I did not lift the children up or push buggies etc until my 6 week check when my surgeon gave me the all clear to do so :-) x
  16. Hi yodelania, I was told to do purée for 4 weeks and then introduce soft foods between week 4 and 6. I was so glad when my 4 weeks were up, I hated the purée stage. It used to fill me up but everything tasted disgusting blended, some days I really did not want it at all as the taste wud make me gag, but iforced my self to eat it. As soon as I started on soft foods at week 4 ie cottage pie/ shepards pie, jacket potato etc things were Great x
  17. Hi for, the fruit shoot I drink are 10 calories and only 1.6g sugar :-) and there great.. No I haven't tried them ones from wait rose. X
  18. Umm have you tried cottage/ shepards pie? They are kinda softer I'm not really sure tbh as I seem to be able to eat anything in small portions. Iv not had a problem only a few times with the feeling of food sittin in my throat for about 20mins which is uncomfortable but apart from that. I hope you get things sorted soon Hun xx

  20. I'm 2 and a half month post op, and I'm really worried about hair loss I've heard it normally happens at 3 months! Has any one experienced it?? And does anyone know of any thing you can take to make it slow down (I know it can't be stopped if you get it) but dont know if there is something to help it. Currently I am taking forceval, calichew, evening primrose oil and cod liver oil with A-Z vitamins on a daily basis! :-) x
