Need a Lift and Tuck. So frustrated Insurance won't pay!

Before surgery, I said to myself that I didn't think I would want plastics. Now, I know I need it. I really need a tummy tuck and breast lift so badly. I'm so envious looking at pics of people that have had this done and how much it has changed their appearance. It would be such a blessing to have breast and a tummy that doesn't sag. The front of my body looks so wrinkled and deflated. I use to think it was about envy and vanity. But now I know it is a very important part of this journey. I'm still very happy with what I've accomplished but just wish I could have this surgery. Some are having this done at a lot less weight loss than me and with a 128 pound loss you can just imagine how I look underneath my clothers. I am still paying on my wls so I definately have to get that paid off. I sure don't want to wait that long but I have no choice. Oh well, maybe one day. Thing is... most that are having surgery, insurance pays for it. NOT my insurance of course!! Our premium is 1300 dollars a month that my husbands employers pays but they won't pay for anything like this. Not fair! But oh well most of the time life isn't fair.

Hi Lisa! Completely get you......I am considering Mexico right now. Quote in states was 15 large!

Waiting for two quotes from Mexico now. Looking at dr. S in Monterray based on feedback here and obesity help site.

So far....about 8 large. Hugely different ;)

Likely January .....if anyone is looking for a buddy on their trip in January look me up!

When reading my insurance plan they say they don't cover cosmetic surgery at all. But I know of two people who got their surgeries paid for by the same insurance company and plan. They had their doctors document that it was medically necessary- the one lady had a fungus issue under the skin flap from her tummy. The same lady worked out with her surgeon to have the health insurance company pay for the tummy tuck and she paid the difference on her breast lift. It might be worth investigating to see if you can do something similar.

My doc's Mommy Makeover (in TJ) is about $7800 - $8800. I've had tt, breasts, arms, full neck and face there...NOT all at once!! I had my sleeve there, too.

Welcome to the club. Luckily, my skin doesn't cause health issues, but I don't really need enough skin for two women, so I am having it reduced! I am off to see Dr Sauceda in 3 weeks. i will share my story/results... so stay tuned.

Exciting cowgirl! He is reviewing my pics this week for recommendation ;). Keep us in the loop!

Best wishes and safe travels!

Looking at Traveling to Dominican Republic Next year. Now I'm about to save up and work more. I'm looking at getting a TT Breast lift with Augmentation and a butt lift. Quoted at 6300 plus xtra for expenses. Wanted to go January but it may take til April to get the xtra time off work. Then I need to get an arm lift and small thigh lift too. Wow!

Ms Vet, how many surgeries did all of that take? Did that total price include air fare each time?

I decided to wait as we'll. I'm working on a few things too. Like saving too.

Hey! I booked my date for June 25th 2014 with Dr. Alejandro Quiroz, he was the one for me. I'll be getting a LBL and either an inner thigh lift or breast lift. (Both are the same price and he said I can make my decision on my day) confused on which ones to do. What about u?
