Did anyone ask for their stomach to take home?

Yeah, you heard right. My little brother really wants my stomach to come home in a jar. I don't know why, he's just weird! But I might actually ask them to bag it up post surgery. Has anyone had this request? Did any surgeon let you have it?

I never thought of asking for it to take home, but I did ask for a video of the surgery. The DVD doesn't have the entire surgery because they forgot to stop recording when my surgery was done & had to guess when to stop what they put on the DVD. Still, it runs 2 hours & 16 minutes, & is missing the part where they cut up & removed my gallbladder. The sleeve only took about an hour. The rest was freeing up my gallbladder that was adhered to my liver & other tissue. It had four larger stones & I was told they had to cut it into three pieces to get it out.

ROTFL. Love this thread

No - but wait until you have plastics and they cut the outside fat rolls and stomach off----- it's quite a site- looks like an under sea creature ;) tell him to wait for that!

And yes I have photos :)

I have a friend who had a blepharoplasty, and the doc let her have the eyelid tissue that was removed.

I am having a band to sleeve revision, and hoping he'll let me have my removed lap band to take home..after all, I paid for it, right? lol
