2 week liquids-scared!

I did a trial run of my two week liquic diet today and it really was not that bad at all... I just keep psyching myself wondering how 14 days without food at all will be like..kinda scary. I know I can do it, but I cant.even have chicken broth on my.liquid diet..mainly carnation sugar free shakes...idk ! Im so nervous! I havent gotten a surgery date yet but should be submitting.to insurance next week...eeek!

As hard as it is, I would follow your surgeons orders. I'm on day four of a 21 day liquid diet and I'm already 7 pounds down! I've heard that the more you stick with your pre op diet, the more successful your surgery will be!

Well the thing is that every ones DR has a different pre op diet so sticking to one specific diet does not ensure a more successful surgery. I would do 90% liquids and if you absolutely must have something then have a zero carb snack or meal. Just do whatever you have to do to shrink your liver, start the weight loss momentum, and keep your surgeon happy.

Found ya ...looking forward to it

Glad you found it! Let me know what you think!

I had two weeks of bariatric advantage shakes, 3 per day & also 2- 100 cal yogurts. The two day clear liquid (no protein) thing was rough, and I've been drinking Isopure for one week now. Tomorrow begins full liquids for me, so I can have creamy soup & regular protein shakes again.... I cannot wait & may have cream of chicken for breakfast, lol!!! Lost a bunch of weight though!

Well as I said before, I think it is smart to follow your doctor's orders. They know what is best for your body and how to get your liver to the size they want.
