Are you measuring your servings? How big are they? What size spoon are you using?

I'm in the same boat. I get full very quick and at times I get mad because I feel like I was just getting into eating this, and bamn, no more hunger signals start coming from the sleeve. On the bright side I don't spend a lot of money on food. When I used to eat like crazy I would spend so much money at fast food places it was crazy sometimes 300 in a month for 2 people. Now I don't even care about fast food and it just doesn't make sense to spend money on something I can't really eat. So far I'm always able to eat a whole pouch of Starkist light tuna salad in a 100 calorie pack all the time. Other than that its always half of anything else bigger. A few days back I made home made cheeseburgers for me, and the wife ,we both didn't get much down . Its nerve wrecking and a life saver. I can never see me over eating or becoming that crazy over food again.

I was sleeved on July 25. My wife, who was sleeved over a year ago, says I am eating too fast. I think she is right, I have slowed down and the problem with filling up so fast has gotten better. Eating quickly is a difficult habit to break because you have done it for so long. You might slow down, chew 30 times for each bite and put down fork between bites.

Mostly, I can get about 4 or 5 bites in before I am full. I have noticed that some days I can get more in but not much. I also think I eat too fast. That is one habit that is really hard to break. And when I chew my food really well, it kind of makes me nauseous.

I would love to have a combination #5 with white rice and extra garlic sauce and egg roll and stuff it lol

I think it is part of the plan.I have a new habit. I like to knit 8" squares for blankets orphans in South africa and so i take a tiny bite chew well and knit two rows, then time for my next bite. i could not believe how much easier it was to eat a full meal ( half a cup). no problems, not burps, not pressure--and i hate the pressure. Still felt full at the end but a comfortable easy onset full. I expect to be making a ton of squares.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
