It's amazing, isn't it?! My clothing is fitting so much better. I didn't even realize that they were tight to begin with. Are you tracking your Protein intake? I was surprised at how little protein there is in food. Anyway, congrats, and keep going! :)

Hi!

I had mine on 08/29! Feeling great now! I actually feel full of energy... I have lost 25 pounds so far. I walk about 30-40 min a day... I'm getting in around 45-50 grams of Protein a day... It's difficult! Enjoying the new me :)

My multi is kinda nasty to take but I make myself and I haven't really found a yummy Protein shake yet :( still looking!

I was on 64 oz Gatorade (not diet) and diluted fruit juice for 7 days. Then to purée for 3-4 weeks. I have my first check up at that point and I move to mechanical soft for 3-4 weeks. Check up. Then soft for 3-4 weeks. Check up. Then regular diet. I thought the lack of full liquids was odd' date=' too, but I promised to follow doctor's orders.

Thanks for the tip on meat based Soups with milk powder. What is milk powder -- like Protein powder, or just reg powdered milk? Do you have any meat based Soup recommendations? I tried a cheeseburger Soup last night. It was eh.[/quote']

It's basically powdered milk. But be careful as if you buy a coffee whitener it may not actually contain any milk. In the UK we have a brand called Marvel. Not sure if you have that there. By meat based Soups I was thinking more along the lines of chicken and leek, chicken and vegetable, cream of chicken. Beef n vegetable...that kind of thing. Cheeseburger soup sounds disgusting. Lol! I made Bolognese today with steak mince and then blended it. Was very nice! :-)

But its my new journey and I am taking it one day at a time.

Does your stomach make sounds like an old boiler or a drainhole too? Mine does. It's actually quite comical.

Is anybody using a straw to sip their liquids? I'm 2wks out and having such a hard time sipping all day.

I was told not to use a straw. But I don't see how I could possibly take in any more air than I do when sipping.

I've actually been using a straw since I've been home from the hospital and I'm 2 weeks out. I haven't had any problems with air or gas in my stomach. I personally feel better when I use a straw, it helps control my gulping.

Thanks! I think I'll try it. I feel like I swallow quite a bit of air when sipping out of a cup. And I end up with to much Water in my mouth so I have to swallow 1/2 and hold the other 1/2 in my mouth for a few seconds before I can swallow it. Lol. Maybe a straw will help...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
