someone one asked me my "due date"

I almost broke down today after someone asked me when I was due. I was sleeved on May 31, 2013 and went from 267 to 223 that 44 pounds lost and I still look pregnant. I work so hard at the gym and eat the right stuff. It just made me feel worthless like all my hard out isn't paying off. I already consider my self a slower loser that just made it worse.

Sorry I needed to vent and cry.

Some people just don't know what to say! Ugggh! Congrats on your success!!!

Don't worry about this....some folks are just clueless.......44 pounds is fabulous!!!!! And, you look great!

That happened to my sister-in-law once. When she told him she wasn't pregnant, the guy actually argued with her!! I guess that's a benefit to being 50. Nobody jumps to that conclusion anymore! But just think how temporary this situation is for you now!!

Think of all the times that question would have been asked if men had babies. :o

Lol

Devils advocate - maybe the way your clothes fit now that you've lost weight makes it appear like you are pregnant. I had super baggy scrubs in June, and when a patient made a comment about "whoa, you have twins in there?!", I figured it was time to get some new ones.

I actually finally broke down and bought smaller size clothes. :)

It is a thrill to buy some smaller clothes girl...you work it and forget about all the others...... :)

I bought my wife some tiny clothes today, she's lost 110 pounds. Pants were 4's, shirts were extra smalls. Before nothing looked good on her as far as she was concerned, now everything looks good. She's easy on the eyes, hard on the billfold. That big smile melts me down.

I gotta say it's fun, though. ;)

Don't worry about them. You are doing so awesome!!! Keep it up. Make yourself happy!

Hopefully there won't be a next time' date=' but if there is, just tell them that you gave birth "yesterday" to a 10 pound brown baby and you had it in the toilet. That happened to me when I was 80lbs heavier, so I know how you feel, although I was more embarrassed for the lady that asked because she turned a bright shade of red when I told her that I gave birth to him 5 years ago! LOL

Chin up, you are BEAUTIFUL!!! :)[/quote']

Lmao. Love it!

Happened to me too once. There are several ways to deal with this - you can be super-b*tchy, grab them in fake desperation and say "No, it's a terrible tumour and I'm yet to find out if its benign or malignant", tell them you overdid the bran flakes at Breakfast but you're expecting it all to "pass" soon, or politely point them in the direction of the nearest optometrist.

They didn't mean to hurt you of course, but it would be very nice of you to teach them some manners. On that note looking shocked, opening and closing your mouth a few times and then running away sobbing can be quite effective.

I agree with all that everyone else says here - your weight loss pace is good, you've taken control of the situation and you will - in not too long a time - have it all sorted. So why not just gloat inwardly, knowing the next time she sees you, you're going to knock her socks off.

Good luck with it all.
