Ok so i had he surgery today. Mouth is KKKKerrazzy dry. Teeth sticking to my lips' date=' something's gotta give. Driving me bananas. Have already gone through 4 cups of ice chips and walked around the floor 3X.

sleeping on and off. I see 4 incisions The one that my stomach was pupped through is very very swollen.

I had lost 10.8 lbs pre-op but on one of my walking rounds, we found a scale. I am 9 lbs heavier![/quote']

I was the exact same way. All the gas they add load the pounds back on. I lost 10 lbs pre surgery. Then gained it vack after surgery. Now I am down 18 lbs. Feeling good. Surgery was Oct. 23

Congrats to you!! Sluggish or sleepy? Whatever they gave me in recovery is knocking me right out. I can fall out on a dime. I have been getting up and going to the restroom alone and will be able to walk alone too!

Congratulations! !!! Yay!!!!

My date was October 15. I've lost 17 lbs since then (256 to 239). I've been out of work the whole time' date=' and I go back on Monday -- so I'll get some feedback for sure!

Need to shop this weekend: I cleaned out my closet this week, and only have ONE pair of pants and ONE suit for work!!!

I'm feeling good thanks! I have been trying to stay hydrated - that's probably been the toughest thing. I'm surprised that I have little pain - not much gas pain either. I haven't used pain meds since the hospital. How r u doing?

Thanks all for the feedback on bowel movements - I had one today and felt great- I'm sure that's TMI but I was happy I didn't need to take anything to help alleviate it.

hi there how are you doing ? How much have you lost in your first week post op?

I've lost about 16 lbs since surgery. So 2.5 weeks now. It will be great if it continues at that rate! How bout you?

Are you talking about the wrap? I wore mine for about 2-3 weeks. Just this last week I stopped.

Took mine off after 3 days but I had 0 pain and no issues I'd say play it by ear unless otherwise told by a doctor

      Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
      I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

      Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
