September 2013 sleevers..Requesting sleeve buddies :)

I used a heating pad or a microwaveable protect called PEAS and placed it where the gas pains were. I think it helped me. Plus of course walk, pass, walk, pass. Still hard to pass gas in front of my dad but o well.

so today was my 4th day post op, and I actually feel better! The nausea is reduced to "little to none". The way I've been feeling the last couple of days, I never thought i'd see the day where i'd be nausea-free. The only thing though, is that I still can't have much to drink.. I can't describe the feeling, but it's not a feeling of "I'm full", it's more like a "is this hunger? or am I going to throw up? what is this?" everytime I drink something, it's that unfamiliar feeling I get that I can't quite explain... :-/

Earthy- is it a tightening in your chest and a slight pain? Then it subsides? It's a mixture of gas and too much in your sleeve. Mine does the same...she's a real pain in the a$$ lol

Congratulations, let the losing begin

I was sleeved on Aug 26 and it was the easiest surgery I've had. Do what you're doctor says and you will recover well.

Post here, for help with so many things. I bought sugar free syrups to make my shakes. Someone on thus site had posted about them and they are great. Davinci, is one brand.

Sometimes I feel so good I forget I had major surgery. Happy to say after a stall at 3 weeks I m losing again down 37pounds.

The only way I was able to get the Protein in was with one packet of the Unjury clear chicken soup... It sat well enough with me, I had half during Breakfast, and the other half during lunch time...

Hey all you September Sleevers.

How is everyone doing?

I am 3 weeks PO today. Feel great!

Back to the gym this am. I have been walking in the mornings since its so nice here in Tejas. (rare)

So just did some cycling, and some arms. Tried not to do anything that would pull on the tummy.

I am down 20 lbs. Which 7 was pre op diet. But happy.

I know I will loose slower since I was revision. But if I can stay 20 lbs a month, I will be one happy camper.

Lets all check in and see how everyone is doing now that we are on the loser's bench.

Like Montiep, this has been an easy transition. The first night in the hospital was uncomfortable mainly because the nurses kept coming in and doing vitals. Gas and Nausea were a pain as well. Nausea only lasted 2 days, and gas comes and goes, no real pain anymore though. I am drinking Water from a glass now, instead of from a 1oz cup. Doctor commented when I went to get the drain out 4 days later, that I was moving around really well. So far I have lost 31 pounds (I haven't weighed myself since the last doctor visit), and can easily see the potential for a new me!

Good luck to the rest of the September sleevers. I realize how lucky I am with my surgery. I hope those who haven't been as fortunate gets better soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
