Free photo editor?

I would like to post before and after photos and wondered if there was a free, user-friendly photo editor that anyone can recommend.

    I use PicMonkey.com they have a free editor & the ducks in a row setting will allow you to line up pics side by side.

    Its super easy to add text, borders & block faces.
