It's a little too late now (I'm 3 weeks post op now) but I waas wanting to check on my surgeons stats. I've googled his name+surgical complciation and get nothing. Is there a site (free preferably) that give stats on surgeons?

I asked mine right out, what his stats were he was honest with me, how many had he done and how many had leaks and how many, if an y had died. He said 850 of the sleeve and way more of the bypass, the only deaths he has had post op were from car accidents! He said the few leaks hes had were patient caused(one person ate an entire chicken nugget 2 wk post, it popped the stapple line. I was happy with that info. Maybe try giving his office a call, the should be honest with you.

Look up his state medical license online. It will tell you if he has had any insurance claims. His training and work history.
