Looking for vitamins

Recommended Posts

For my multi, I use the chewable from CVS, it's super cheap (around $7), doesn't taste horrible, and I can get if BOGO every few weeks (like this week).

My B12 is a sublingual from Walmart (best taste and price so far).

I do use the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews.< /p>

I ordered Bariatric Advantage chewable Multivitamin and calcium citrate chews from Amazon. Free shipping with a Prime account. Check with your surgeons office. Mine sells everything you need. Prices & my Dr's office was about 10% higher than stores or online but beats a blank.

Spring Valley... I think it's their house brand. I buy the 500mcg/200 tab bottle.

Pure encapsulations - it is a great multivitamin, not a cheap one ... but really helps to bust your health. They are capsules and you can pop it open - mix the powder with fluids or food as long as it is not warm or hot. Great option if you are looking for a really good one.

Bariatric Advantage for me. chewables are great! Also get Fish Oil -- it will help slow down Hair loss. I use a gel pack ( orange-flavored) called Coromega. Avail at GNC.< /p>

I tried the Coromega from GNC. Not bad going down. However, to me it had the worst fish after taste. I couldn't get rid of the taste for hours. I had high hopes for Coromega. No way I can get past that after taste.

Really? I don't have that problem, but I generally chew my multi Vitamins right after.

GNC guarantees all their products. Just take it back. You could try Krill oil capsules. They are small and easy to swallow if you are 5 or so weeks post-op. GNC has those too -- and no I don't normally shill for GNC. I just like that you can return something that doesn't agree with you.

Dunno. I discovered its benefits quite by accident. I don't have high cholesterol, but as a diabetic, dr wanted my LDL below 70 (ridiculous!). So I went through a truly horrible period of trying about 5 diff drugs. All caused HORRIBLE side effects. So my cardiologist suggested I try Fish Oil.

My hair had been thinning for several years, and a few weeks after starting Fish Oil I noticed that my hair had stopped thinning. And I just generally felt better. I think that lifetime dieters have spent years cutting out fat, and that contributes to Hair loss and dry, itchy skin. Fish oil, and healthy fats help prevent those things. Just my layperson's view. Oh, and my cardiologist's.

I found at Wal Mart Gummy bite fish oil by Natures Made. Just tried 2. Not bad. A little after taste. I saved my calcium chews to take after the fish oil. Covered up the little bit of fishy taste. Happy I have found fish oil to take.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
