Yay! I still have a couple of requirements to knock out but I am so ready! I'm having mine in Oklahoma City.

I passed all my bloodwork and my liquid diet starts 8/27 for 2 weeks. I'm nervous about the liquid diet part!!!

I am glad to meet you Jo! I guess we are going to be sleeve sisters! Maybe we can keep in touch during our journey!

I have a nutrition class aug 7th my cardiologist appointment aug 16th and one more support group meeting on August 1st. I also have to lose 8 more lbs. I had to lose 37 lb altogether. I'm working hard to lose it by My nutrition class on the 7th so I can get it recorded that day.

I don't have to do a liquid diet until the day before probably because of the low carb diet I'm on now. I hope to be down at least 45-50 lbs ( instead of 37lbs) before surgery.

So nice to meet you Shelle:) I would really like to keep in touch! I didn't have to lose any weight prior to surgery but my PCP required that I lose weight before she would recommend me. I have to follow a carb counting lifestyle. What's different is that my nutritionist says that post surgery I won't be counting carbs, but protein. My PCP completely supported my decision to have this surgery but she wanted to make sure I knew my options. I have to take one more education class and take a test before my surgery.

I haven't even told my pcp because I know he hasn't liked. WLS in the past. I love him to death but I wanted this so much and didn't want him to try to talk me out of it. I'm not sure what he knows about the sleeve.

I went into my doctor about 9 months ago and told her I was done being overweight. I am almost 40 and I have a 3 kids (3, 7 and 18) that I need to keep up with. Weighing nearly 300 has been awful for my health! She told me she would support me as long as I learned about my options. It has taken a while but I'm almost there!

That's great she is so supportive! I'm sure mine will be there for me too. I'm just not going to tell him till after. He's been my pcp for 35 yrs.

I'm married and 51. My kids are 28 and 30. I found out last week that my blood work showed I am nearly a diabetic at my appointment with the surgeon. I knew it was imminent with my weight being so high and a family history of it. It scares the heck out of me. My highest weight was 375 lbs and currently I'm 345.4. I have several comorbidities so I have lots of reasons to have surgery including 5 grand children who need me.

I'm walking two miles a day now but it took awhile to build up to that. I had my first appointment with the surgeon on June 17th,

I am . Sept 10 in Mexico

I have been a preop low carb diet and lost almost 40 lbs. I reached the surgeons goal for me so that's the main thing I've done. I walk 2-3 miles each day. I've been taking Vitamins and a probiotic to strengthen and nourish my body before surgery.

I bought some workout pants that are drawstring so I can exercise without worrying of my pants will fall off. I organized my closet and drawers and got rid of old and outdated stuff then arranged things according to size.

I plan on making my own chicken and beef broth and freezing them in ice cube trays. I will probably do this in the next few weeks. I hate canned broth!

I've been picking up a few used clothing items at thrift stores in smaller sizes and stuff on clearance. I just wanted some summery items for a cruise we have in October and knew this would be my last good chance to grab something.

I just went to my cardiologist today and he has already written and faxed my cardiac clearance to my surgeon! OMG!! That was my last hurdle to go before surgery besides my last appointment with my surgeon on the 29th for my preop blood work and final check. Now I feel like its really going to happen! Yay
