Yup, glue here too. It's not itching where the incisions are either but around them.

Yeah, that's me. My incisions have healed pretty good so far, but all around is super itchy.

Finished up with my pre op at the hospital, surgery is Monday the 30th. It's been a long 6 months and now that I have reached the end of the waiting I'm so scared.

I was terrified from the time I got my surgery date and by the day of surgery they pretty much had to give me something as soon as I got my IV in. Just the idea of surgery is scary. Just focus on all the good things that will happen afterwards.

I was nervous at first. Had even changed my mind. But then I figured how much better off I'd be if I did it. I can't wait for this part to be over so that I can heal completely and get back to normal. My incisions itch but like I said that just means their healing. I still get tired and need to rest but that's a part of the healing process. I haven't been in any pain. Just felt uncomfortable at times. For you newbies this will all pass in no time. For you pre-op people everything is going to be alright. If I can do it you can do it too. Just hang in there. :)

For the itchiness try Neosporin with itch relief. Check with your doc first, some doc's don't want their patients putting anything on the incisions.

Tomorrow is my day! I know I'm doing the right thing. Surrendering and trusting the medical team is the hardest part for me. Probably need to be more vulnerable in life anyway. :-). Best wishes to all !

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
