How was your 5:2 day today?

My biggest dilemma is that I have to take medicine in the morning. I don't want to eat until around 11 am because I like to have a late night snack of 100 calorie pack of cocoa dusted almonds. I've been putting off taking my medicine but the one I can't put off is an anti biotic.

I guess I can share this ,lol. I have to take an antibiotic before have sex or I will get a UTI.I have to take it with food.

I guess half of a Greek Yogurt would be 50 calories. I need to look up string cheese and baby bell light.

How about you? Is the 5:2 plan working with your life? I also don't like working out with my trainer on an empty stomach.

Will this not work if you have 11 hours in between instead of 12? There must be some reason you have to have 12 hours off.

Thanks Cowgirl, it is Niebles actually. I remember hearing about that person that was kicked off and I seem to remember that she wasn't actually a real coordinator, just an obsessive fan who tried to

Kim I'm glad your dad made it through the surgery.......

Most have done well on staying focused on their fasting days, the ones that haven't, will succeed next time. I am one that messed up and I will have a fast day tomorrow. Got to detox from the carbs... LOL

Hope everyone is having a blessed day today to start the New Year!

Happy 2014!

Georgia, I can't believe you are going to be 60! You don't look like it at all. Your face is beautiful...where are the wrinkles??? Happy Birthday one day early!

Sheila, how was the wedding? I'm looking forward to seeing pictures...

Kim, glad your dad is ok.

Cathy, hope 2014 brings about good things for you and your husband. Hopefully he will find a job quickly and you won't have to move. So many stressful things, try to stay positive. We are here for you.

SherylJane, maybe it's just not the right time to try dating? I don't know...I think I would sometimes feel like it's just too much work if I were in your shoes. You are a strong, confident woman and you need a guy that can handle that. A lot of guys can't. About the meds, I think it's a good idea to try them. Sounds like you have done a lot of other things to handle the stress and maybe the meds will help. If there is a chemical imbalance then the meds will help where other interventions won't.

Coops, glad you had a nice time at the movie. I used to LOVE movie popcorn. Since I've been sleeved it doesn't taste very good to me anymore. I still love popcorn but my favorite is called Skinny Pop and I eat a little every night. I'm thankful for the few foods that my sleeve doesn't agree with because there are so many that I don't have any problem with!:) Hope things are ok with you and your hubby now.

I decided I was going to fast today even if it killed me. I'm still here and it's 7 pm, and I have had 400 calories, so I think I'll make it. It's not even that I'm hungry, it's just that I want to eat the junk because it's good. Carb monster at it's finest! I know I will be better next week after I get my fast days in and the carb monster will be gone.

I think it's stupid that my boys have to go back to school tomorrow. I think they should have off for 2 more days. Why send them back on a Thursday?? I thought about just keeping them home but then they will end up with a lot of extra work come Monday.

We have gotten a ton of snow here since last night. I'm so ready for winter to be over and we have quite a while to go yet. Thankfully the hubs and my 2 boys take care of the shoveling.

Back to reality tomorrow...

Hello all,

Georgia, my daugter had this huge 60th surprise party for me. I hate surprises. I knew about it though because my son had left his face book page open. So I guess I am only a year older than you.

I had a blast on New Years Eve , I went out with a friend of mine where a live band was playing and danced all night. I had these 2 guys arguing over who was going to dance with me. Total losers, both of them, but fun to dance with.

My ex's daughter was over and she was telling me that her dad has a new gf. It's just amazing to me that he lived with me for 2.5 years up until 2 months ago and he's already got somebody spending the weekends with him and introducing as his new girl friend. Nice to know I was so easily replaced.

Thank God for 5:2. If I still felt fat and could not wear my clothes, I'd be really depressed. Now I am hopeful that I am actually going to find a better man.

Well, I had a lovely new year with fab friends, too much to eat and drink and the scales have not been good today. I was 7lb away from my personal goal but now it is 11. I'm not too disappointed as I have had a full on eating/drinking period over the holidays.

I have already done my exercise and I am meeting 2 friends for lunch, I have decided to have vegetable soup and not look at the rest of the menu. I need to detox all those bad carbs.

I hope everyone is well and having a good day.

Well ladies, the wedding was wonderful! We had the lunch, walked around in downtown Denver, which is just fun but also busy, the sights and smells I think on a daily basis would get overwhelming. It's fun for a bit but just different than living in the suburbs...where life seems to have a slower pace.

Then checked into our hotel and proceeded to get fancy. It was so fun! The wedding started at 7 and was beautiful, followed by a cocktail hour (which was really more like 1.5 hours) we stood chatting, kiddos played with giant connect 4 game and giant Jenga game, we ate and drank. Then opened the ballroom and we moved into there, watched the bride and groom arrive, etc. They had all this as food set up in various "stations": (OMG so much food...thank you sleeve for preventing me from eating it all!) Station 1: Roast beef and salad, rolls Station 2: soft taco bar, beef, chicken or fish and ALL the toppings Station 3: Mini burger sliders, mini crab-cake sliders, regular and sweet potato french fries Station 4: Mac and cheese ...you picked whatever you wanted in there (meat, veggies, etc) and they would sautee it for you fresh and hot (I never even SAW this station, lol). My plate was a chicken soft taco (I ate half) 1 slim slab of roast beef, a salad, and half of each a slider and crab-cake slider (minus any bread). Oh yeah and fries. I did also have 3/4 of a slice of wedding cake...yum!

Anyway, here is a photo!
