Many Snacks today, Trying to stick with some Protein though, gave my hubby half my Breakfast and left some. Had a nice walk. Met the director today, cute! (hes the guy who made District 9 and the one we are here to see, Elysium) Having champagne before the show, then there is the after party with lots of food. Im writing down everything I can think of in MFP... over by about 300 yesterday, today will be closer to 500 is my guess... but really... thats nothing to how much I could have hit the calories before the sleeve! As long as I get back on track in a few days, I think it will be ok (meaning not up TOO much) Having fun!

Cheri, yay for having your house back!

LV - sorry abour your dog. :( That stuff is never easy. Our cat is 16 and counting...so far all is well but I dread...

OD - yep the countdown is on, you will be soooo happy to be rid of that extra weight around your wrist!

Yesterday I ended at 580 (I'm always OVER the 500 mark but it's working...) and today I was at 1244. Fast again tomorrow.

For all you pizza lovers, try this:

Take a chicken breast and pound it thin. Cook it in a sauce pan until golden and done. Top with pizza sauce and whatever you normally would put on a pizza. We had that for dinner tonight, it's a family favorite. I like Contadina Pizza Squeeze sauce and I just keep it in the fridge for such nights. No need to open a whole can of sauce. Pizza without the guilt. ;)

Swizz - I think that is why I like ADF so much, saying no to the goodies on the fast day is easier psychologically, because I tell myself, "don't worry about it, it's not going anywhere, and tomorrow is a feed day."

Today is a fast day, which is good because I'm having intestinal pain and not really feeling the food today. I'm getting a good rhythm going again with my ADF, after my next fast day (Saturday) I will weight myself. TMI alert: I have an IUD so I get all the physical and mental symptoms of PMS and a cycle, minus the cycle and right now my bloat is just out of control, my breasts are inflated balloons o' pain, so I'm not real eager to get on the scale.< /p>

Oh, I like that idea! I also will take deli black forest ham, lay some onions, pizza sauce and mozza cheese inside and roll up. Then I either microwave for fry in a non-stick pan until the cheese melts. Yummy!

I make a skillet pizza by laying down thin slices of mushrooms, summer squash and whatever in the bottom of a hot Iron skillet, then veggie ground round crumbles or tofurky pepperoni, sauce, cheese, olives and whatever I have in the fridge... cover and cook until the veggies are soft and the cheese in melted. It does not slice, but so yummy and pizza flavored....

Fasting today, forgot to eat this morning. Is that good or bad?

I'm a bit jittery and need to eat so a brief update.

Bounced back up on the scale - damn that thing all to hell. Back in the same dang window I've been in for a few weeks now, like it's just taunting me with what could be, but isn't. Ah well. I knew it was too good to be true.

I find myself kind of bored now that we're just a family of five plus my mother in law. It's both relaxing and uncomfortable. I'm used to doing more because I've had to run almost non stop lately.

The junky emotional news hasn't stopped - got a call last night that husband's ex-wife, stepkids mom, has breast cancer. WTH. Just, really, WTH. The only good news lately is that DH isn't deploying ASAP.

No, not true. Elisheva is very healthy (despite a rough start due to allergies) and my twins are doing great and excited to start school. My husband had some run ins with cancer himself recently but just got a clean bill of health, that's good news. And I guess if I want to be self-obsessed, I also haven't gained any weight despite the fact that it's been one hit after another since January.

So all told, I can complain but it's not so bad.

Now, I'm off to eat a fast-suitable lunch of homemade minestrone Soup. It was yummy the other night and is sure to be even better now that it's had a couple days in the fridge.

Later, gals! Have a great day.

~Cheri

These are a lot of stressors and I love how you look at the positive too. this is life, the good and the bad. Happy to hear your DH has beat his cancer....my DH had cancer in 93 and has been clear of it ever since..... Yayyyyy.....Now the step kids mom has diagnosis of cancer is sad. More drama to come. you have done really really good handling all the roller coasters you had coming your way. CONGRATS! :P

Today is a fast day for me. Cheri, I never eat breakfast and always wait until lunch. I know you are diabetic, but if it works for you, I can't see it being bad in any way.

So far, I have not eaten yet and have kept myself busy cleaning. It is my daughter's 4th birthday this weekend, so just trying to get things ready ahead of time. Got a call from my hubby though yesterday that he now has to work the weekend as well, so he is going to miss her birthday party. I know he is crushed about it, he is really involved with our kids. And I am crushed as well. Not only is he not here to be with us as a family, but I have to try and get everything ready on my own, including cutting my grass. Oh well. I know I am feeling stressed because all I want to do is eat something, but keeping busy has worked so far. Now I will make lunch for my kids, then eat something.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. A lot of us are Thursday fasters, so here is to a good day!

Hey girls! pizza yum the recipes sound good!

I'm fasting today also. My stint at 159 seems to have come to and end. Yesterday was a regular day and I ate two things that were processed!

One being a specialty chicken burger that said all over the package about how natural it was yada yada yada.... Sodium bomb! I just can't do to many prepared meals, plus after eating stuff like that I get so thirsty and you know the 30 minute rule becomes torture. Also had some Protein pickle chips (they weren't that good really)

Second salt bomb. My wedding rings are tight this morning and the scale said 161! Ugh I'm drinking like crazy today!

And yeah Cheri I usually don't eat until lunch on a fast day but I know you need a bite earlier but I wouldn't worry if you pushed it off. I think the extra fasting time is a good thing.

Cancer? Oh boy...

Sweetums happy bday for you daughter! And :(

About your husband.

Good day today girls!

Well, here is what I have found on vacay. Not eating a LOT over normal range (except yesterday 1500) but I am definitely a creature of routine and being out of it makes me want to snack more or choose other choices not on my "usual".

BUT I did make it to the Tanger Outlet and bought size EIGHT skirt which fit very nicely and liking the way I feel. Of course, I also made it to the Coach store ????????????????while Hubs, Daugjter and Grands went to Dollywood! Lol

Had a really good fast day today, came in at 563 calories plus I did a workout and walked the dog. Feeling good.

Cheri there was an article in today's Times (UK edition) about weight loss, or lack of it and sleep depravation. I will try and get a link for you but I was reading the printed edition. I do have an e subscription too so might be able to copy and paste at least.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
