Is anyone pregnant or has been pregnant? Complications?

Just wanted to hear from any bandsters who may be currently pregnant or have been pregnant with the band. I am currently 28 weeks (fill removed) and have had no complications, but I was concerned that labor (pushing) may cause a slippage. I have not been able to find any information on this and was wondering if anyone knows or has experienced anything. Thanks!

does anyone know the answer to this?! :welldoneclap:

Hi Apryl! Congrats!

I just had a baby in October, and I had the same concern you did. My dr assured me that the lap band would not interfere w/ labor at all. He said the band was secure and was not going anywhere.

But it wouldn't hurt to ask your dr about it, so he can calm your fears.

I had my daugther last January, and I had no problems with the band. I labored for 26 hours and pushed for almost 2 and my band is still in tact...hope this helps, and good luck to you.:crying:

thanks for the reassurance! I have very short labors but I always puke! So I dont know I may have to ask about that!!
