Houston Park plaza hospital

It's a little late for this question since my surgery is tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone has had their surgery at Park Plaza hospital in Houston and how the staff and rooms were. How long was your stay in the hospital?

I have the same doctor. He seems very good. I forgot to ask him how long the hospital stay was. I am assuming 1-2 days. I also forgot to ask if he uses port drains (I think that is what it is called). Did you have one? When was your surgery?

He doesnt do drains....he is a GREAT doctor....I stayed for 2 days, but I was doing so well he was ready to release me the next day.....I stayed the second day because I already paid for it (I was self-pay) I had my surgery in June 2012....

I had Dr Yu too! I was at a different hospital, but just wanted to let you know, Dr Yu is AWESOME! I went home the day after my surgery.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't think I was that nervous but I just looked in the mirror and have a rash on my face and neck. I am hoping it is nerves but am scared that if it does not go away they won't do the surgery. When I am excited or nervous I typically get flushed on my face and chest but this feels a little different. I guess I need to try and relax and pray it goes away before tomorrow morning.

I had my sleeve by Dr Yu at Park Plaza. The hospital, staff, equipment and so on were great. Dr Yu is a great surgeon. I went home the day after my surgery. Good luck!

Had my surgery 7 weeks ago there with Dr. Yu. I had the sleeve and hernia repair. The rooms and staff were great. I had no pain no naseau he kept it well controlled. I stayed one night. I only had one incision in the belly button.
