1. Thanks y'all! I remember looking at before and after pictures before I had my surgery and thinking, "that's totally unimaginable.. That'll never be me!". But it's becoming me! If you're thinking about this surgery... DO IT! Now! Best thing I ever did for me and my family!
2. Insane. My mind is just starting to catch up to my body. I've still seen myself as the 300lb person. It's crazy to think I'm under 200lbs, in 6 months. I have bones! Who knew! Collar bone, knee caps, hip bones... I'm actually not a fan of them. Lol. Maybe I'll get used to them!
3. The first picture is about a month out from surgery. The second is last night. I'm 6 days away from being 6 months out. I'm 115 lbs down. I have my 6 month post op appointment tomorrow and I'm SO nervous! I want my surgeon to be proud, and I want my levels to be good. I went to my 2 week pre op, but missed my 3 month. Anyways... Fingers crossed!
4. Just wanted to update... I originally posted this back in March right after surgery. I have (had?) Pcos and endometriosis. I've had ZERO problems with my period after this post. I've lost 100+ lbs, and had my period last week. Wasn't painful AT ALL. The only issue I had was not being hungry at all (like food was disgusting to me).. But as far as pain, ZERO.
5. Made a Dr appointment! Hopefully they'll run some labs and see what's up. My NUT is thinking its hormonal tho.
6. Oh no. Quite the opposite actually. Wondering if my "monthly gift" may be to blame, but this certainly isn't the first time I've had it since surgery, and it's never happened before...
7. I had the sleeve. I'm not really stressed tho. Life's pretty much the same as always. I'll call my Dr tomorrow I suppose!
8. I'm 5 months out. I've done pretty good. I've lost 110lbs. Recently, the last 3ish days, I don't wanna eat. At all. It's like it makes me sick to even think about eating. It's not really a physical thing, like I eat too much and then I'm sick... It's more, I know I need to way something, I'll make something, take one bite (if even) and it's just disgusting. I've tried switching it up to the max. I even "allowed" myself to have ANYTHING I wanted today. I choose pizza. I had one bite, and put the rest in the fridge for hubby. I find myself getting super dizzy and lightheaded, which I'm sure is from lack of nutrients.. What do I do?! NOTHING is good! I've told myself, "just do it.. You know you HAVE to eat".. But one bite and I get so repulsed, I just can't do it.
9. Got a new hair style today. I'm 109 lbs down. 5 months out!
10. I was sleeved March 18, 2013. This has been an amazing journey so far. I had my first encounter with an old coworker since my surgery, and she literally didn't know who I was standing right in front of her. I get comments like, "Well, you're just withering away aren't you...". It's been sooooo nice. I never imagined this could be my life. I remember telling my Mom I was so nervous about getting surgery, because I was scared I was going to die. I had wanted to be "skinny" my entire life, and knowing this surgery was going to eventually help me achieve this... It seemed to good to be true. Well... I didn't die! I'm not by any means skinny... But I sure am on the right track to being healthy! Here's my before and after! Sw:305 Date of surgery: 292 Cw:203 Age:25 Height:5'4 The picture on the left is actually in April, 3 weeks AFTER surgery.
11. Did anyone ever find size 16 clothes for sale? I REALLY need some
12. I had Dr Yu too! I was at a different hospital, but just wanted to let you know, Dr Yu is AWESOME! I went home the day after my surgery.
13. Not quite sure.. Looked back at a post I made on May 1st, sooooo 6 weeks out, and I was at 256 or 254.. Can't remember now.
14. Sleeved 3-18-13... Starting weight was 305. Day of surgery was 292. Today I am 6lbs away from loosing 100lbs in less that 4 months!! Todays weight 211!
15. Oh, and I'm 5'3... No advice other than stick to plan, and exercise. Know it's not the end of enjoying food, and there are still a TON of yummy, healthy, things to eat!
16. I was 305 at my highest, 292 day of surgery, and I'm 212 this morning!
