Does anyone know if the kirkland brand calcium chews at Costco are calcium citrate or carbonate? I have read through several threads trying to get an answer to this question and keep hearing different things, some say yes some say no. I was going to order from bariatric advantage but thought I might save some money at costco.

I just noticed that they are the carbonate type and I've been eating them. My info from Kaiser states that it is not absorbed very well. Off to find one that is citrate. Hmmm when I showed the dietician, she didn't say anything about it.

It's doesn't say it's NOT absorbed.. Just not as well.

The funny thing is they say the reason Carbonate isnt absorbed as well is because it needs an acid environment. Seems to me we have too much acid in our smaller stomachs now but......

anyhow I take big honking chewable citrate "wafers" from Twin Labs I get at Vitamin Shoppe
