  1. If it weren't for this Forum and others I would not have been confident enough to go through with surgery. I still have not met (to my knowledge) another person IRL who had this surgery. The information and opinions of other Forum users have been invaluable.
  2. Just focus on what you CAN have. I had a 2 week pre surgery liquid diet but on the first week I was allowed up to 4 oz of meat once a day if needed. I only did it 3 times but if it gets too rough in the first few days you might want to try that. I really didn't mind the liquid diet. I too went a little crazy eating the month before surgery so I was ready for the change.
  3. I feel for you! I was so relieved I didn't have to take a laxative or have an enema or anything. I just had to do 2 weeks of liquids and the last day was clear liquid. Good Luck tomorrow!
  4. Congratulations! It seems the norm now to have to fight for everything with the insurance companys. Guess they figure if you really want it you will appeal. Hopefully you wont have to wait much longer.
  5. I rely on the Premier Protein to get enough protein. Half way through a carton I stick it in the freezer for 5 or 10 minutes, I like it much better kind of frosty. I got tired of the vanilla easily I wish my Sams Club sold the Strawberry but I am stocked up on Chocolate because I know I will be drinking it for months. Funny I thought the EAS cost more here, I will have to look into it again.
  6. Its crazy isn't it? I feel like I haven't lost in soo long so I looked back on Fit Day. It was TUESDAY, 3 days ago- I could swear it was at least a week or more. Time is standing still but I dont go back to work until Monday, which will hopefully help. No matter how much I read about the 3 week stall and your body adjusting and blah, blah, blah its still a killer!
  7. You are almost a week ahead of me. Sounds like you are doing great. I am up to walking 1 and 1/3 mile but I have no incline around here. Up a hill sounds pretty impressive to me!

I'm 8 days out and I feel just like you do. I can smell food and think it smells good and not have to eat it. It's weird and amazing and I hope it lasts a looong time.
