In my post op paperwork it says I can have yogurt today and creamy soup...so Im having butternut squash Soup from campbells...its good!

Im wondering what tips and tricks you guys can give to me give variation to my soup meals.

Im so excited to be eating SOMETHING other than fluids right now.

Do you think its okay to use my immersion blender for a can of campbells chicken soup till its smooth?? Thoughts?

I blended full vegetables and chicken into liquid and the Soup was good and I was very satisfied. If you can pulvorize it it should be ok.

I would stay away from Soups with Pasta. I am just under 3 weeks out and on purée for a week now and my favorite Soup is Campbell's cream of chicken made with skim milk. I make the whole can and eat a half cup at a time. Takes me a good hour to an hour and a half to get it down, with multiple reheating a in the micro, but its so warm and yummy. Really gives me that feeling that I'm eating food.

try a cup warmer for the soups, I also set my little saucer on it with my regular food, keeps it warm without having to get up and down and reheat repeatedly, and they are usually only about $10 bucks

Someone on here turned me on to the Imagine brand creamy Soups. Depending on where you are, you may be able to find them in your local grocery store, or you can buy them online: http://www.imaginefoods.com/. I have tried the potato/leek, butternut squash, sweet pea, and sweet potato flavors. Yum, yum. yum, and yum! I added a little salt, pepper, and unflavored Protein Powder each time.

These are great ideas! I am in day 1 of my pureed food week. Week 3 that is. I am wondering what to eat, i have bought a few Soups. The Tomato was not so good. I want to eat something good. I put the squash Soup back thinking it would not be so well. I am a person of taste, but I learning that it sometimes doesnt work. I am just so tired of broth. I even wanted to try deviled eggs, is that stretching it?

I did an egg easy over - yolk very runny - put it in my little baby food blender with some chicken broth and it tasted really good.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
