Then again, maybe we're related because you just described my sister! She's 3 years older but shows people her shoes because "don't they look just like Barbie's cute shoes?" And she's completely serious. She works for Dick Clark and sent me all his shoes. Brows knitted, "why did you send me his shoes." She says, "so you'll know what it's like to walk in his shoes." I say, "I'm sending him a pair of mine so HE knows what it's like to walk in my shoes!" She gets mad and hangs up since she wears Dick's shoes with thick socks all the time so she can be like him. Dick thinks his shoes went to charity.

OMG!!!!! ROTFLMAO!!

At the same time, this is so sad.... lol

When she was here, she had me make one of my purses, and then she sewed fake plastic beads all over it and said, "everyone will think they're diamonds." She was serious then, too. Okay, Barbie.

OK here is a story about my sister. Laugh cause it is funny. Look sad because it is that too. LOL!!!!!

John, singer songwriter musician and my sweetie, and I were on tour in 2001. The third day of our tour was Sept 11. We were in South Carolina at a friends house. He called and told us to turn on the TV. We watched as the second tower fell. I cried of course. I get a phone call on my cell. IT was my sister. She wanted to make sure I was fine and where I was.

OK Here is the funny / sad part.

She says to me in a loud voice,

"Head for the hills. You know where I mean. I am gonna go get Momma. You go get the kids and I will meet you there."

My poor sister was very serious about this. LOLOLOLOL!!!!!! Then she hangs up. I look at John and bust out laughing. I explain this to him and he and I are both laughing and crying at the same time. I called my mom and told her what to expect.

That whole day was so surreal anyway but to have my sister add to the madness was almost more than I could bear. But it added some comedy to the day.

Family you gotta love them.

Pen, does your family even have secret hills that you can run to? My family doesn't believe in love. My mother doesn't live in the same realm that we do (all kidding aside) and love doesn't exist in her realm. She's very mean and angry. Rageaholic.

Funny though, because Chris and I were in the hills on 9/11. We were in Kinsman, Ohio - Amish Country.

Only in my sister's mind. God love her!!

Don't stop now tell us more.............nosy here.... of course I don't have any family like that!:)

And I always thought my family was crazy....LOL.

I mentioned early that I want to make/bring prizes too. I think we should do all kinds of fun game/ activities. 3 legged race anyone?!? I cannot wait for october. Lisa, what are the temps like down there in early october? I am putting my money on you too Lisa, so don't let me down;) . Teresa

Teresa, if you're putting your money on me, you better get my fat ass in gear and start slapping me around some! I have NOT been letting my band do it's thing... I've been completely restricted since Sunday and should be on mushies. No, I'm not gorging or binging... but I consider it binging since I'm eating when my pouchy says NO. I could have lost 5 pounds since Sunday if I'd stop eating dinner. Get on the horn woman and help me along cuz I'm made of mush while Penni is made of rocks (*** evil laughter *** I just haven't found her soft spot yet.)

And why the heck are you waiting for October? Get over here!

Oh, the weather in October is Heavenly. The heat starts to dissipate late September (cough cough my b-day) so October days are still very warm but the nights cool down. I really hope you guys don't get so mesmerized by the twinkly neon that I can't drag you away for a few hours in the desert so you can see the real side of Nevada.

Kitty Milo is draped across my shoulder purring for you guys right now.

OK lost NO weightage this week. But did not gain any either. I was sure I probably would have since I have not been doing the band thing. LOL!!! Daughter and grandkids visiting this week ya know. So we are taking them to our favorite restaurants and all that jazz. Not getting much if any exercise. But come next week, watch out. Back to my regular routine of exercise and watching what I eat.

So, glorify in that 1 lb loss Lisa. Cause the next week I will lose.

Teresa, and everyone else. If gifts are a problem for us then I don't mind money. That is always a gift I don't have a problem keeping. LOL!!!
