I was sleeved on the 29th. And here at 15 days out my biggest struggle is with fatigue. I am soooooo tired. I thought this procedure was to help me have MORE energy. I have MUCH LESS!!!!!

I am thinking Vitamin B12 is the one that is supposed to boost energy levels. If it lasts more than a couple days, i'd check with the doc, could be dehydration or anemia.

Yes! I have had the ones by Body Fortress, I get them at Walmart, and they are not the best tasting but will get the job done. I haven't had once since I've been sleeved but I do have to go to the store today so I will probably grab some.

im starting to wonder if part of my gassy issue is due to my hernia repair. because it just wont let up. ladies i have tried it all. with every sip, it's almost like i have the benz. and now i feel like there is something sitting in the back of my throat. this is way beyond annoying. i'd like to get on with being normal before i start to have regrets.

I was sleeved July 24th had to stay on liquids for 1 week Had my f/u 1 week after surgery Doc said I could start eating eggs which I was thrilled with after nothing but liquids for 3 weeks. I downloaded an app @ Livingstrong.com to count calories and am AMAZED how little I am sustaining on. Most days I take in a total of around 600 calories. My doctor told me to start lite cardio which I admit I do but could be more enthusiastic about. I take in about 60-80 oz /day of Water so here is my question, why am I not losing like I did before the eggs??? On liquids I dropped 25lbs prior to surgery Two weeks since my last weight in and I've lost 4 lbs I don't understand Anyone else having this problem???

Same for me!First 10 days post-op I lost 11 pounds and I lost a bunch on the pre-op liquids too. Now for the past two weeks I have lost only 2.5. So disappointing, but I have read on here about a 3 week stall so I figure this is it!

I am 3.5 weeks out from surgery and in terms of fatigue, I feel fine at times, and wiped out others. I will say the wiped out feeling is becomingless frequent, so hopefully I will be able to make it through the days at work when school starts again next week!

I'm having that issue too. As we speak I'm eating tiny bites of refried Beans and with every swallow, a gas bubble forms. My doc says it's very very normal for the first few months to experience this. It's very annoying.

Be careful with the whey shots. There are different types of Protein. You want to only take in whey isolate which is a cleaner version. The other version Whey Concentrate is not absorbed by the body so it is wasted. You can research the differences more on body building forums but my instructions from the Dr were very clear to stay with only the Isolate.

I am hoping for the opposite as I only lost 12 pounds from pre-admission testing day (which began my official liquid diet - since I had a new surgeon to the program he started me before that) to yesterday' 2 week post op appt. i want my three weekark to be when my body finally starts letting go of the fat!!!

I need some advice. I lost 18lbs my first 10 days. Since that time I haven't lost anything. I am eating between 300 to 500 calories a day. Not quite getting all my Protein in. Usually get about 35 to 50. I am getting all my Water in. Ideas?

Honestly that doesn't sound like a lot of calories. You may have your body stuck in starvation mode. Have you spoke to your doctor yet?

Not everyone loses at the same rate so try not to dwell on that. I do suggest when you eat focus on your protein and water first and foremost. Your protein intake may be part of your problem. Good luck.

I was freaking out because I sort of am in the same boat. I've only lost 4lbs in 2 weeks.. I thought I was doing something wrong then I found out you have about a 3 or so week stall in the beginning due to your body needing to adjust, starvation mode (your body is trying to hold onto that fat), and just the shock of surgery in general. Once that stall is over, and you're doing exactly what you should, from what I understand that weight loss starts to speed up like it was in the beginning. While my scale is showing a slow loss, my inches are actually going down and my clothes are getting bigger and bigger each day. Try not to weight yourself constantly. I'm backing off of the scale for the rest of the week because it just distracts me from the reality of the situation.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
