I am July 31st and i have already bought my sippy cups and kids utensils (tip from my hospital), i have everything I need for my hospital bag and am considering packing now. I am ordering these Protein Fruit Drinks from my NUT in the hospital after sirgery that we tried on PAT day. I am gonna ask her to bring me samples again after surgery to see if my taste for them changed. I just have to clean my house still with a good once over and go pay for the scrips they called over. 11 days to go!

Biggest piece of advice I have so far.... Im 11 days post op, and whatever you do... DONT SCRATCH the incisions! I couldnt help it, they are healing fast but its hot and im sweaty and the anti-itch cream doesnt help much, so im really scared that they might get infected cause they are swollen and bumpy. Please be cautious everyone!!

Anybody feel like they are nesting (like before you have a kid)?

Yesterday I woke up early, washed bedding, washed & folded 5 loads of laundry, vacuumed, laid new carpet, moved furniture, assembled a new bed, went shopping, cleaned 2 bathrooms...today I'm emptying out all kitchen cabinets, wiping out & reorganizing them. We remodeled are kitchen last winter, and for some odd reason, I decided now was a good time to move everything to where I want it. 2 days til surgery. It would be nice if I had this much energy after.

Me too! I keep starting new cleaning projects. I have been purging all cabinets and closets. I'm glad to know I'm not alone there.

I get sleeved on the 23rd. I better hurray if I'm going to get it all done.

Me too. I had to stay an extra night in the hospital due to nausea and liquid intake. I'm feeling fine now just the usually pulling feeling at the belly button. Have my sofa all ready for me to sleep on. Kinda hard to get in and out of my bed. Congrats!!!

I begin my pre- op diet tomorrow (all liquids) and the citrate of magnesium at 2 p.m. I have a friend going with me to the hospital because she has already been through this. I'm feeling awkward about telling my family. My kids are all out of town.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
