Hey sleevers. Just want some input. I'm afraid after being skinny I will be perceive as a b***h. As a big girl I am confident, sexy, outspoken and love me some me lol.always have my hair and nails done always looking cute for a big girl . I take alot of pride in myself not that i think im better than anyone this is just who and how i am all my life. all my friends are size 9 or smaller and have always called me a diva. But now my worry is after being a Diva big girl for so long how do I handle who I am as a skinny girl ????

You both are still the person you were before the Sleeve and you will still be you after it. You were confident then and you still will be confident, your weight didn't make you you made the weight. Meaning the person that you are on the inside (your personality) Thats who your friends love YOU and if they are your true friends they will love the skinny you as well. :)

Just be yourself. It's great to love yourself. You can do that AND be nice to others, and that's an attractive combination! I do want others to like me, but if they don't, that's their issue, lol! Can't control others, only ourselves.

To me, a diva is someone who struts her stuff because she's confident; she stands tall and takes no s**t from anyone. A b!tch is a female who isn't able to live and let live--she's in everyone's face, looking for confrontation, sometimes even starting it; just to stir up s**t, just because she can (and she gets off on the adrenalin.) A b!tch doesn't care who she steps on, as long as everyone gets the eff out of her way. A diva won't let herself--or those she loves--be stepped on.

Lol, you are worried you will be a diva, people ask me how did I got more tomboyish after I lost the weight.

Funny how we are never satisfied with our perception of ourself, and how people seem to be unaware of what was hiding underneath all that fat.:P:D

Just live your life.

Two good books:

http://www.amazon.com/The-Power-Habit-What-Business/dp/1400069289

The Power of Habit - very informative information on very sound studies. Not a weight loss book, but exceptional reading for someone who is taking on this journey.

http://www.amazon.com/Days-Personal-Revolution-Breakthrough-Radically/dp/074322759X

This is not what it sounds like, and it is a very good book. It is western-hemisphere yogi life lessons, and many are very, very timey to what we are going through.

Good luck!

I know just how you feel.

I was worried about losing my image as an old looking, heavy breathing, jolly fat guy.

Now I am a not so old looking, easy breathing, happy but not jolly skinny guy.

Image, meh. <_<

I always hated playing Santa anyway, and I hated being asked.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
