I have decided I'm going to tell everyone

Only my family knows right now..my aunt basically spilled the beans to the rest of my family but they are actually taking it well and some are really supportive. My aunt was against it at first cause she had to have a hysterectomy and it went horribly wrong. Her wound got infected and they had to leave it open for like a month so she is all about the complications and refused to believe I needed this. She's getting better with it though. My therapist encourages me to be excited about this and tell people but I'm a pessimist and always think something will go wrong. With that being said I want people to know what I am going through and hopefully encourage people to do something about their weight. I'm going to post it on Facebook but not till I have been approved for surgery! Besides..spilling the beans runs in the family and something this big is impossible for me to keep to myself lol.

Hi

I am new to this site and I am the same. I have told everyone. I am lucky in that my job has about 15 ppl who have undergone some sort of WSL and all I've gotten is support. My family is super supportive and my friends are cool with my choice.

Good luck! I'm scheduled for surgery on June 17 so we are both June sleevers :)

Good luck to you both! I'm not looking at surgery till December since I am just starting my 6 months diet
