The vast majority of people have uneventful surgeries. I did. You will get through the next few days and in a couple of months, won't remember the discomfort except vaguely. Just stay positive and be excited about the new you coming soon! I an 4 months out and down from 257 to 202. ( that includes pre-surgery loss). I feel awesome and I am not hungry. This was the smartest thing I ever did.

I agree with SMO. I had mine Friday 5/31 and I thought the same thing Saturday and Sunday but since Monday morning it has gotten a lot better.

It will go fine! Just go in with a positive attitude... and maybe don't eat the jello. To me, it was gross.

I had my sleeve done one week ago today. I did fine! Good luck! Walk around the hospital as soon as you feel up to it, it really does help.

Just remember everyday gets easier!!

I agree with the other posters, the majority of surgeries do not have complications. And when you read about them, it can get overwhelming. Best of luck to you!! Best advice I received and took was to walk around as much as as soon as you can.

Congratulations!!

Congrats. Many blessings to you during your operation. I can't wait to join you guys on the other side of the sleeve. I am sure your process will be as smooth as the others. Keep us updated.

The walking part is true I had surgery at 7:30 am Friday and I left the hospital at 3:30 pm on Saturday and the nurse said it was because I walked a lot.

I had my sleeve done Monday and they are right. Everyday gets better. Keep walking!!

Stay positive and enjoy the ride, every second of it. It's wild and it is fun!!

Thank you everybody for your best wishes!!! This forum helped me keep sane and not lose my mind before the surgery. However, I honestly am surprised as to how smooth the surgery went. I was in little pain after, and was able to walk right away. I was discharged on Friday and I stopped drinking pain meds the day after the surgery. So far, no complains. I can't wait for my doctors appointment and see how much weight i've lost so far. I refuse to weight myself at home!!!
