  4. I ran wk 6 day 3 and I'm happy I was able to run the 22 mins straight but I'm disappointed I only went 2 miles. Does it get easier to work on speed after you finish the 9 wk program?
  5. That's cool. That's the one I was looking at but I haven't bought yet. Do you think it is pretty accurate?
  6. I know this is a little off topic but has anyone tried a fit bit?

  8. I don't overeat or drink sodas so I guess I will be OK. Thanks for answering. How is your journey going?
  9. I'm almost 2 months post op and I've lost 65 pounds but I'm worried that there is a possibility my stomach might stretch. Two people that my wife work with used The same Dr that I did and I can't believe how much they can eat. Is there a chance that it will stretch?

  13. I guess this is how you do it. Thanks Lisa! I just finished week three and Wednesday I start week 4 I'm kinda nervous.
  14. I was lucky I started walking a little bit the day after surgery and l started c2k at two weeks post op. I guess I was lucky not to have any knee and back pain because I did have that pre op. Just walk everyday and you will get to the point that you will want to see if you can run. I did the first week of c2k for two weeks but since then it hasn't been bad.

  16. There is nothing wrong with that. If you were to run with 80% effort it would be a form of HIIT training which is great.

  18. I didnt love it to start with it was a challenge but now I'm starting to like it and I look forward to each run. Keep in mind I'm on week 3 day 2 of couch to 5k.
  19. That's great that you have run in 3 races. I ran yesterday and instead of trying to breath a certain way I just tried to go farther and it worked. When do you plan on doing a 10k? How do I reply with the message I'm replying to on my message? I'm on an android and I can't figure it out.

  21. Thanks Lisa that is very good to hear. Going from 90 seconds of running to 3 minutes of running sounded hard but wasn't that bad. The hardest thing for me to master has been the breathing and finding a rhythm. Have you already ran a 5k?
  22. I'm on week three day two of couch to 5k and I was wondering is it super hard when you get to week nine or is it not that bad because of the way it builds up? When I look at week 6 I think damn and then I see week nine and I think holysh!t.
