    Things I Can Do Now

Cross my legs under lowish tables, not cringe when I see that someone tagged me in a picture on Facebook and my heart beating wildly while I brought the picture up, hoping it was shoulders up, sitting in rickety looking chairs, enjoying clothes shopping more, and many more! I'm at 60% goal and am so excited to get to goal and see what else I can do.

    Any Teachers?

I'm a 4th grade teacher. I had my surgery a week after school ended in May. For me personally, I knew I wouldn't have to take that much time off, but was afraid of dealing with food issues with my new sleeve like upset stomach, etc while I was still in the classroom. As it turned out, I have only had one issue with eating the wrong type of food and it happened last week, when I am 4 months out. Go figure!
  6. I had two c-sections, one was 15 years ago and one was 10 years ago. In my situation I think the sleeve recovery was slightly more uncomfortable because I was a lot younger when I had the c-sections. But neither surgery was unbearable.

    4 month weight loss

I was 4 months yesterday and I've lost 53. Not as much as some others on here, but I'm happy with it! About 50 more to go!

    Am i kidding myself?

I'm 35, sleeved May 29th, I will say I feel a lot better now at 35 than I did at 32, 33, 34 while I was carrying the 50lbs I have lost so far! I had no co morbidities, but was sluggish and tired a lot. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself!

    Non Scale Victory

I'm a teacher and for the past 2 years I couldn't cross my legs under the lunch table. I did it the other day without even realizing it for a minute...but when I did realize it I wanted to stand up and shout it to my class!'
  10. I was going to say the same thing...men! They lose faster and you can tell on their bodies way before you can tell on ours :/
  11. Never, always a little chunky. Hopefully that will change! Sleeved 5/29

    3mths Out

    Congrats! You look great
  15. 5 weeks out and 26lbs down. Slow and steady will be the way for me I guess!
  16. Same thing happened to me. I teach at a small school and told one other teacher (who I found out has a big mouth) and I had to tell my principal due to the time off I took and now I think everyone there knows. Oh well, I guess it saves me having to answer so many questions when I return in August and hopefully look a lot different!

    May sleeverss ONLY !

Sleeved 5/29. Still doing 11oz of protein shakes a day..premiere protein. I eat very softly scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, puréed soup, and Greek yogurt. Tried refried beans very well puréed and it didn't sit well at all. Down 23lbs including pre op diet weight loss. Slow and steady!

I am so glad to read this! Oh my gosh! I have been going crazy wondering how I got this rash! I have a small rash on each upper arm/elbow area! Seems to have gotten a little bit better. 2 weeks post op today.
