Ouch! Well, you can blame him for the genes he passed along that determine your body shape...I don't think it is possible to change that...won't matter how much weight I lose, I will always be more pear than apple

:) my dad will not eat anything if there is no butter in it.. and will always have a bar of chocolate with him.. and he lost 6#s in 2 weeks last time he came to visit coz there were no chocolates in my fridge.. :o

my mom.. she just has to look at food.. and up the scale goes.. i keep saying.. i got my mom's body.. and my dad's taste buds.. thank god they don't have another daughter.. she would have been perfect.. and i would have to deal with a lot of nagging.. :P

When my sister was fat she looked like the before picture at her weight of 220 pounds.. She looked AWESOME. She had a flat tummy, cute belly button, full legs with perfect non-cellulite contours, a bootylicious behind and tiny waist.. She could have been a plus size model... Now that she's 155 she STILL LOOKS AWESOME... Me,. I've had cottage cheese thighs and a low hanging pannus since I was 11..... I have NEVER EVER seen my belly button... I'd KILL to look like the before picture!

I have never been thin. I was chunky through grade school and in the high 100's when I graduated high school. That's the last time I remember Onederland. Getting to "overweight" from "morbidly obese" will be a thrill, let alone getting to "normal"! I'm just over 2 months out, down to 257 from 305 (including 2 week pre-op diet). I can't wait to see what the rest if this year brings!!

I love this site but it does have its limitations. For example, the model only goes so large, and only so small. There seems to be no different if I make my goal weight 125 pounds or 115 pounds. I'm genunly curious what I would look like if I weighed 115 but have no way of knowing. Not a big deal though, just saying.

Grace, you can try mybodygallery.com . It shows real pictures of women at different weights. You just type in height, body type and weight and it shows you real women. I love the site and have even submitted my own pics at several different weights.

Ha I wish I looked as good as your "before"

Is there anyway we can age those and add some lumps and bumps cellulite, age spots and cankles :P

Haha! That was what I was thinking. If I had EVER looked like ANY of those "befores" with smooth skin and fat evenly distributed around my body (not lumpy and bulging) then maybe I would have decided to be a BBW forever and forget about surgery! :D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
